On Friday, Sam Asghari, formerly married to Britney Spears, spent time with his girlfriend Brooke Irvine following some harsh remarks he made about his previous marriage with the pop icon.

31-year-old Iranian-American model and a real estate agent with blonde hair were seen having lunch at Erewhon market in Calabasas as a pair.

In May 2024, when Sam’s divorce from Spears (aged 43) was made official, he unveiled a fresh hairstyle, sporting his dark hair in the style of cornrows.

He sported a grey t-shirt and blue jeans and had his eyes shielded with a pair of sunglasses.

Brooke carried a food container, while he held two water bottles in his hand.

She had a bohemian-stylish appearance, wearing a loose white shirt, snug blue flared pants, and elegant white Chanel sandals. Her long golden hair fell gracefully over her shoulders.

Following Sam’s move to make their Instagram relationship with Irvine public in early 2025, he made a critical remark about his bond with the pop star.

He labeled their relationship as “Hollywood,” and described his four-month affair with Brooke as being filled with love during their first public appearance together, at the opening weekend of The Tryst hotel on the red carpet.

According to Asghari, the essence boils down to love. This was shared during an interview with Us Weeky on April 25, while in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

‘It’s not about the industry, it’s not about Hollywood,’ he continued.

The essence lies in identifying what truly matters, and that’s actively participating, staying mindful of the current situation, and aiding those who also engage in this shared activity.

Sam was with the I Did It Again singer from 2016 to 2023.

In October 2016, Sam and Britney crossed paths for the first time during the filming of her Slumber Party music video. A few weeks later, speculations about their relationship began circulating after the fitness instructor shared (and subsequently removed) a picture of them on Instagram.

On Friday, Sam and Brooke walked their first red carpet event together in Puerto Vallarta. When asked about the choice to make this appearance, Sam shared his reasons with the media outlet.

During an episode of The Viall Files, he shared details about his significant seven-year relationship with Spears, describing it as a substantial aspect or major part of his life.

Regarding the conservatorship of Britney Spears, which ended in November 2021 following a span of 12 years, Asghari found it unusual to manage the situation. He shared this sentiment during his conversation with Nick Viall.

Back in 2008, a judge mandated a conservatorship over Spears, which means she didn’t choose it herself. Her father, Jamie Spears, managed her estate entirely since then.

In 2016, when Asghari and Britney began dating, is when he first discovered her unusual legal circumstances. However, it wasn’t from Britney herself who disclosed this information to him.

He found it quite unusual, as he experienced it early on in their relationship with Spears. This is what he shared with Viall.

When Viall inquired whether Britney had clarified the matter to him, Asghari replied that it was someone from her team who informed him about it instead.

He stated that she hadn’t clarified the situation. Instead, someone phone-called him, saying something along the lines of, “Just wanted to inform you about certain matters, ensuring you follow our regulations and guidelines.

As a 12-year-old immigrant from Iran, Asghari expressed initial concerns that Britney might be experiencing oppression or manipulation.

He shared, “I hail from a place where such issues were addressed. Women were often oppressed and dominated by men throughout their lives.

I found myself thinking, ‘This is odd, but let me pause for a moment, this is the United States, and something seems off.’

Following the conversation with an undisclosed individual from Britney’s team, Asghari chose not to immediately inform the singer about it.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I’ve been grappling with this, trying to grasp the logic behind its existence from the get-go. I shared these thoughts with Viall.

It seemed like Asghari was indicating that, being the singer’s boyfriend, he held limited influence over the circumstances at hand.

It seems like you don’t contribute many thoughts to the conversation, which might imply that your role in her life is more of a passive one, such as a boyfriend who doesn’t engage deeply.

He also admitted that he was ‘afraid’ of losing Britney if he tried to rock the boat.

‘I was afraid they were gonna maybe make me not see her and things like that,’ he said.

Rather than trying to take on the leading role himself, Asghari made every effort to serve as a pillar of support for Britney. In doing so, he advised Viall to approach her with care and offer assistance whenever possible.
