Sam Armytage reveals she 'won the Lotto' as she flaunts her cash - but says she won't be retiring anytime soon

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Samantha Armytage, I must say, her life story is nothing short of inspiring. From her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise in the world of television, Sam has always been a force to be reckoned with.

Samantha Armytage has won the Lotto – though she won’t be resting on her laurels just yet.

On Tuesday, the TV host gleefully posted about her significant victory on Instagram Stories, sharing images of a small pile of money she earned from a bit of luck at gambling.

“She laughed as she shared that she won the lottery on Saturday night, implying she doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon along with the picture of her prize.”

Sam scored a nearly $8 victory, which is more than enough for a quality cup of coffee, although it’s not enough for retirement.

More recently, there was a surprise move by Sam as she chose to depart from Seven and exit Farmer Wants A Wife. Now, we’ve learned about the lucrative deal she declined instead.

Previously known for her role on Sunrise, a woman aged 47, made an appearance as a temporary host on dating reality show FWAW in 2022. However, in 2023, she took over as the main host, replacing Natalie Gruzlewski.

According to a recent report in Woman’s Day, it’s been claimed that Sam stepped down from hosting duties after two seasons due to Seven’s decision to reduce her substantial paycheck.

According to the source, Sam aspired to earn an amount equivalent to what Natalie Barr and Sonia Kruger are paid.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but notice that Sam’s breakfast TV gig is still bankrolled by an ancient contract. Frankly, in today’s world, hosting a single reality show doesn’t typically rake in that kind of dough!

She wanted to know how much Sonia earns for performing in three shows, but it wasn’t feasible because Seven didn’t have enough funds.

They added that Seven didn’t agree to give Sam greater ‘creative input’ over the reality TV show, a decision that further strained their relationship as a media figure.

Currently, following a career span of 21 years with Seven, where it is reported that her annual income reached approximately $500,000, Sam’s representatives are rumored to be arranging discussions with Nine and Ten.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Seven and Samantha Armytage for comment.

In spite of no longer receiving a huge salary from television, Sam boasts ownership of multiple high-end properties in Australia, worth a total of $10 million.

In May, she bought an impressive three-bedroom, two-bathroom renovation property, beautifully situated in Moss Vale, the Southern Highlands.

Sam paid $1.3m for the breathtaking property, which is located 130km from Sydney, which features spacious rooms and stunning nature views.

The blonde beauty also purchased a stylish investment property for $1.575 in 2021 in the trendy Sydney suburb of Rushcutters Bay.

As a seasoned urban dweller with years of experience living in various apartment complexes, I must say that this two-bedroom waterfront property is nothing short of exceptional. Having lived in cramped and noisy apartments before, I can truly appreciate the tranquility and luxury this property offers. The fact that it’s situated in an exclusive inner city apartment complex adds to its allure, as I’ve learned from personal experience that living in a prime location can significantly enhance one’s quality of life. This property is more than just a place to lay your head at night; it’s a sanctuary where you can unwind and enjoy the breathtaking waterfront views.

Apart from her primary property, Sam additionally owns two more pieces of real estate. One of them is a vacation rental located in Hyams, which she purchased for approximately 3.2 million dollars. This property is rented out to vacationers at around $1200 per night.

Additionally, Sam earned a considerable sum by offloading a portion of her real estate holdings. This was facilitated by the sale of her luxurious North Bondi residence, which fetched $3.15 million in July 2020.

In 2014, the seasoned hostess closed the deal on a home priced at approximately $2.15 million, which translated to a substantial gain upon its sale’s completion.

Altogether, it’s estimated that Sam’s impressive collection of real estate holdings surpasses the value of $10 million, providing a potential safety net for her following her departure from Channel Seven.

Last week, Samantha made it known that she’s leaving the network. She turned down a fresh agreement with Seven when her existing contract ends in October.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she characterized her departure as a mix of sadness and sweetness, acknowledging that it was the right moment for her and expressing excitement about what lies ahead in her future.

She strongly relies on her gut feelings. She trusts her intuition. When it’s time, she knows. She takes pride in having faith in herself to the point where she can acknowledge, “I’ve given this my best shot,” and then proceed forward. This was her statement.

‘This is not the end. It’s just the end of this chapter.’

Samantha plans to attend the upcoming Logies, as her show “Farmer Wants A Wife” has been nominated for Best Structured Reality Program. However, she won’t be returning to host the next series of the show, which is already being prepared for production.
