As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but empathize with Samantha Armytage’s recent turn of events. It seems like the tide of her personal life has taken an unexpected turn, much like the waves at Hyams Beach where her beautiful home resides.

Samantha Armytage took her stunning coastal property in New South Wales off the real estate market shortly before news of her separation from husband Richard Lavender broke.

Since last December, the charming three-bedroom, two-bath beachfront home hasn’t found a buyer yet.

In September, the property at Hyams Beach saw a price reduction from its initial $3 million by a determined Sam, now asking for offers between $2.5 million and $3 million.

However, on a Thursday morning, it was announced by the Illawarra Mercury that the house had been removed from the agent’s listings, and is no longer available for purchase.

In an exclusive report by Daily Mail Australia, it was disclosed just a few hours later that Sam had parted ways with her spouse Richard Lavender, nearing the end of their fourth year of matrimony.

They got married on New Year’s Eve 2020, right in the scenic Southern Highlands of New South Wales, on a beautiful 40-acre estate that belonged to one of them.

Prior to the separation, Sam was recognized for recommending stays at a breathtaking waterfront residence, located approximately 191 kilometers from Sydney.

Previously famous for Sunrise, this individual was offering their stunning vacation home for rent temporarily at an impressive nightly rate of $1200, requiring a minimum stay of three nights.

Perched only metres from the beach, the home features an entertainment deck, studio and games room.

It comes after Sam’s split from her husband sent shock waves through Australia’s TV industry.

Instead of releasing their separation news to a Sydney paper on Friday, it turned out that insiders had tipped off Daily Mail Australia about the split earlier than expected.

Richard and I have parted ways. While all separations are difficult, the fact that ours is friendly makes it slightly easier. We both hope the best for one another, Armytage shared with the media on Thursday night.

‘I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won’t be making any further comment.’

It appears that Armytage’s TV presenter acquaintances have been offering support to her, off-camera, since their separation.

Armytage’s two daughters, Sascha and Grace, have stopped following their 61-year-old father’s Instagram account, yet he and his ex-partner continue to keep tabs on each other’s posts.

She’s no longer residing at Lavender’s house in the Southern Highlands; instead, she’s taken up residence in an apartment situated within Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Armytage for comment.

In April 2019, the ex-host of Sunrise and Lavender began dating, and they made their engagement public in June 2020. They got married six months after that, on his rural NSW property.

In 2023, the long-time TV personality took on the main role for the show “Farmer Wants A Wife,” having previously co-hosted with Natalie Gruzlewski in a guest capacity.

In August, she surprised the franchise’s fanbase by disclosing her decision to leave Channel Seven after a span of 21 years.

She informed The Daily Telegraph that her departure was a mix of sadness and sweetness, indicating it was time for her to move on.

She strongly relies on her intuition, following its guidance. She’s confident about her abilities, knowing when it’s the right moment to act. She takes pride in trusting herself enough to acknowledge when she has given her best and then moves forward, as she stated.

‘This is not the end. It’s just the end of this chapter,’ she added.

2021 has been quite challenging for Armytage, having just taken up the role as host of Nine’s fresh reality dating series titled The Golden Bachelor.

The Golden Bachelor represents a unique adaptation from the Bachelor franchise, as it focuses on participants who are older, typically between their fifties and sixties, in this reality dating series.

In February, she lost her beloved dog Banjo while staying with her father near Wagga Wagga.

She posted photos showing herself alongside a six-year-old Labrador Retriever, reminiscing about treasured moments they spent together.

In a caption, she shared a quote from Winnie the Pooh as she paid tribute to her pet.

‘How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,’ she wrote.

Last Wednesday, I bid farewell to my beloved dog, Banjo. My heart has been shattered into pieces ever since.
