Salma Hayek, 58, Stuns as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Star: “It’s So Bizarre!”

Salma Hayek, 58, has landed the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

The Frida star was posing in a bikini as she showed off her enviable figure for the magazine.

The From Dusk Till Dawn standout is one of the few actresses to pose for the prestigious cover.

The 2025 cover lady is joining athletes Livvy Dunne and Jordan Chiles and model Lauren Chan.

Hayek expressed surprise to the publication, saying, “It’s quite strange!” He continued, “I’m almost 60 years old! I never would have thought of this. The first thing you feel is… what’s that term?… a sense of being an imposter. You immediately experience imposter syndrome.

She additionally made an appearance on the Today show alongside Savannah Guthrie, expressing her disbelief.

As a young person, I often admired a magazine, eagerly awaiting to see who the latest stunning model was, the current “it girl”. It never once occurred to me that I could be the one on that cover, as they didn’t resemble me physically and I didn’t consider it a possibility. So, when it happened at age 58, it came as quite a surprise to me.

MJ Day, the head of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, explained that the publication represents much more than just swimwear and visually appealing content when discussing the actress’ debut on their cover for the first time.

I strive to build a space where we can preserve significant memories of our era, honor individuals who mold our cultural landscape, and present breathtaking splendors to the global audience.

The shoot was by photographer Ruven Afanador.

Each woman featured this year has a distinct and potent motive for inclusion in the issue. Their representation, influence, or instigation of change – whether it’s in their personal lives, communities, or globally – is driven by passion and purpose. Hayek was described as a ‘natural force’ in acting, directing, producing, and advocating for women, according to Day in the press release.

This year, other prominent individuals featured on Sports Illustrated’s cover are Olivia Dunne, a former LSU gymnast also known as “Livvy,” Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, and fashion model Lauren Chan.

The press statement continues by saying that these women, together with our remarkable 34 other models, are uniting their efforts to take up the SI Swimsuit tradition for the year 2025.

Last year towards the end, Salma shared with ET that she needed to shed significant weight and work out rigorously in order to fit into her bikini in 2021.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t help but express my joy in capturing countless moments during my recent getaway. There’s absolutely no embarrassment in my extensive photo-taking spree, given it was the inaugural week of my much-needed break.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit will be available on newsstands on May 17.

Previously, a woman from Mexico disclosed that she maintains her fitness through the practice of restorative yoga, juice detoxification programs, and walking multiple dogs whom she refers to as her “trainers.

The individual of half-Mexican and half-Lebanese descent shared with Glamour last year that they had previously believed growing older would mean retiring from work, but they are currently employed. They also assumed age might lessen one’s capacity for love, yet they are happily in love.

‘Despite the attempts made to diminish my flexibility, agility, and strength, I remain unyielding. Surprisingly, I’m not only alive but also persistent.’

The striking, age-resistant brunette maintains a youthful appearance that belies her true age, as she claims to eschew Botox injections and facial fillers.

Her perfect complexion isn’t due to any magical potions or pricey skincare items. Instead, she relies on a tree-derived product for maintaining it.

In a conversation with Elle in 2015, Hayek mentioned that she employs an ingredient named Tepezcohuite, which is commonly utilized in Mexico for treating burn victims, as it has the remarkable ability to fully rejuvenate the skin.

Upon bringing certain components to American research facilities, their response was akin to, “Wow! Why isn’t anyone utilizing these?” This explains why I don’t rely on Botox, peels, or fillers.

Since the year 2006, Salma and her wealthy partner, François-Henri Pinault, aged 62, have been together. They officially became husband and wife in the beautiful city of Paris back in 2009.

He’s the child of Francois Pinault, a wealthy French entrepreneur, whose corporation, Kering, acquired both Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent during the 1990s.

His company also owns Boucheron, Balenciaga, and the British fashion house Alexander McQueen.

In the year 2005, François-Henri assumed the role of CEO at Kering, which had been previously held by his father. Additionally, he is the proprietor of Stade Rennais FC, a well-known football club based in France.
