Sally Lindsay’s cosy mystery branded ‘Death in Paradise meets Murder She Wrote’ lands new streaming home

The charming crime series, “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” by Sally Lindsay, is about to become available for streaming on a newly launched UK platform.

The series co-written by and starring Lindsay follows antiques dealer-turned-sleuth Jean White.

Located in the southern part of France, this show is broadcasted on Channel 5. Starting from June 25th, it can also be streamed on Netflix for viewers residing in the UK who are subscribed to their service.

The murder mystery consists of four seasons thus far, as it follows Lindsay’s character, Jean, rebuilding her life in the made-up town of Sainte Victoire following the demise of her husband, Rory.

The story begins as Jean travels to France to look into Rory’s car accident. Interestingly, our main character chooses to settle in Sainte Victoire from that point on.

Together with Sue Vincent, who played Sue in Shameless, Madame Blanc has been compared to a combination of the well-known mystery shows Death in Paradise and Murder, She Wrote, based on reviews from IMDb viewers.)

In Lindsay’s series, Steve Edge portrays taxi driver Dom Hayes, a character who eventually develops feelings for Jean. As the story unfolds in Season 3, Dom and Jean grow increasingly close, as hinted at by the main actress discussing their developing romance earlier this year.

Prior to the airing of Season 4, Lindsay mentioned her intention to incorporate an older couple into the show, as she felt that the maturity of characters like Jean and Dom would allow for a more leisurely development of their romantic relationship.

On The One Show in April, the ex-star from Coronation Street expressed that they aimed to depict a middle-aged pair.

At our stage of life, we’re not yearning for children or the commitment of cohabitation. Instead, we prefer to unwind and enjoy the moment without any major responsibilities weighing us down.

Starting from June 25, you can stream “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” on Netflix in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, season 4 of this series is already accessible on Channel 5’s streaming platform.

Get your hands on “British Comedy Legends” from newsstands or online retailers for only £3.99!
