Sadie Sink’s Take on Eleven’s Fate Could Shock Stranger Things Fans

Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, recently discussed what happened to her character, Eleven, at the end of the show. It appeared that Millie Bobby Brown‘s character died making a huge sacrifice – she chose to remain in the collapsing Upside Down to save her friends and stop the government from exploiting her abilities to recreate the program that spawned Vecna.

Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) thinks Eleven pretended to die, possibly with help from Kali, so she could escape the government and have a peaceful life. The show’s ending seemed to hint at this, showing Eleven in a beautiful, scenic spot with waterfalls.

Sadie Sink really believes Eleven dies in Stranger Things Season 5

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Sadie Sink was asked about Eleven’s fate in the final season of Stranger Things. She paused, gave a slight smile, and glanced around before saying, “I think she’s dead, but I’m not certain.”

Fallon double-checked with her, and she affirmed her statement. The actress from The Whale then jokingly asked if her opinion was controversial, and Fallon agreed, saying he also thought Eleven would die.

Sink explained that Mike’s storyline felt like a final chapter, symbolizing the characters saying goodbye to their childhood. She suggested it was a way for them to process everything happening. Fallon agreed with Sink’s perspective, calling it a way of coping with difficult events.

Millie Bobby Brown (Sink) felt her understanding of Eleven’s storyline amplified the emotional weight of the scene. While Olivia Fallon suggested Eleven’s fate was ambiguous, Sink clarified that she was simply sharing her own perspective on it.

I’m a huge fan of Stranger Things, and while Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, and Caleb Sink are definitely standouts, the cast is packed with amazing actors. Winona Ryder and David Harbour are incredible, of course, and the younger cast – Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin – really make the show special. It’s a truly talented ensemble!
