As a longtime fan of music and live performances, I must say that seeing Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour is like a dream come true. Her energy and charisma are infectious, and it’s clear that she enjoys every moment on stage. Having grown up listening to her music, it’s amazing to see her evolution as an artist, from Tinker Bell to the star of her own arena tour.
At her Dallas performance, Sabrina Carpenter donned a daring Playboy-inspired outfit to celebrate Halloween, following closely behind Shawn Mendes, who publicly acknowledged his sexuality on stage just a few days prior.
On hump day at the Texas show during my Short n’ Sweet tour, I switched costumes multiple times, and to pay tribute to the occasion, we affectionately renamed it the ‘Short n’ Spooky’ performance, embracing the festive spirit of the night.
Instead of wearing her usual Victoria’s Secret bodysuits during her opening act, the up-and-coming pop sensation decided to don a Playboy bunny costume instead.
The crystal-adorned strapless corset, which showcased her petite curves while putting extra emphasis on her legs and cleavage, was matched up with a black bowtie and white collar combination, white cuffs, matching pair of heels, and a white tail.
To complete her Halloween costume, the singer-songwriter added the famous Playboy rabbit ears to her cascading platinum blonde hair, which had an enhanced volume and sported some gentle waves and curls.
Over in the area of West Hollywood, Shawn enjoyed Halloween by dressing up as a ninja and distributing candy with companions nearby.
A few days ago, during his performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Shawn told his audience, “To be honest, I’m still discovering the truth about my life and my sexuality, just like everyone else.
In 2023, there were whispers of a romantic connection between the artist known as “The Stitches Singer” and Sabrina, as they were spotted together in Los Angeles, fueling speculation about their relationship.
The sighting fueled speculation of a love triangle with Shawn’s ex, Camila Cabello, whom he dated on and off from 2019 to 2023.
During her latest performance, Sabrina also wore other outfits inspired by holidays, aside from her Playboy style attire, as seen in her show “Looking At Me.
Apart from sharing on a personal level, she’d showcase her diverse Halloween costumes – like Tinker Bell and Sandy from Grease – across her social media channels, including TikTok and Instagram, for her followers to admire as well.
Prior to her performance in Dallas, Carpenter wiggled her rabbit-eared accessory for the cameras and repeated the gesture once she stepped onto the stage wearing her memorable outfit.
In my personal approach, reminiscent of Olivia Newton-John’s iconic style from the timeless movie, I chose an all-black leather and spandex attire, much like Sandy Olsson’s look, even incorporating a prop cigarette that wasn’t lit, paying tribute to her enduring fashion statement. During her Act II of the concert, Carpenter delivered an appealing cover of Hopefully Devoted To You that closely resembled its film version.
As a tribute to Tinker Bell, the artist known for Espresso hits, donned a shimmering silver sequined ensemble that included a mini skirt and a sleeveless top, accompanied by large, white feathered wings at her back.
She would open the show with Taste, followed by Good Graces and her hit Slim Pickens.
During the Halloween-themed performance, she additionally performed some of her most popular songs including Please Please Please, Feather, and naturally her summer hit, Espresso, which served as the finale to end the show.
Following her performance in Dallas, Carpenter posted on her Instagram saying, ‘a brief and eerie Halloween greeting.’
On Thursday, the actress from “Take on The World” indeed took a break for Halloween, enabling her to celebrate the occasion with her friends and coworkers.
Her upcoming performance is scheduled for tomorrow, specifically on Friday, November 1, at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. This show will be followed by more shows on the West Coast, including Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Canada, Seattle, and others, culminating in two concerts at Kia Forum in Inglewood on November 17 and 18.
Over the holiday season and into the New Year, I’ll be taking a well-deserved breather, but rest assured, the excitement won’t stop there! Come March 3, 2025, I’ll be back on stage in Dublin, Ireland, ready to deliver another unforgettable performance that every fan like me has been eagerly waiting for. Can’t wait!

As of now, her performances extend up to March 26 in Milan, Italy. However, additional shows might be planned.
The “Short n’ Sweet Tour” marks Carpenter’s debut in arena performances, serving as promotion for her sixth studio album titled “Short n’ Sweet, released on August 23.
The album features the singles Espresso, Please Please Please, Taste, and Bad Chem.
2024’s “Short n’ Sweet” holds a unique place as the first Platinum-certified and top-charting album in Carpenter’s illustrious career.
