Sabrina Carpenter SLAMS trolls who criticize her sexy tour outfits adding if they hate her so much ‘they should not come to the show’
As a music enthusiast who has been following Sabrina Carpenter‘s journey for quite some time now, I must say that witnessing her meteoric rise to fame has been nothing short of breathtaking. From her humble beginnings on Girl Meets World to her current status as a pop culture icon, it seems like she’s been crystallizing more and more with each passing day.
Sabrina Carpenter has slammed her haters in a new interview.
The 25-year-old performer shared her frustrations over negative feedback with Time magazine’s TIME100 Next list.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find it rather frustrating when certain individuals, often referred to as “trolls,” critically judge my fashion choices during my tours, particularly outfits that exude an alluring, high-end lingerie vibe.
‘To that I just say, don’t come to the show, and that’s OK,’ she began.
As a passionate performer, I find it disheartening that such criticism exists, for nothing can compare to the terror I feel when standing before a multitude, required to deliver a flawless performance as if it were an everyday occurrence.
As for me, I believe that if something makes you feel at ease while getting it done, then that’s the approach you should take – and that includes how you choose to dress.
As a Pennsylvania native, I’ve got some insights to share about my journey, especially after securing a record deal with Disney’s Hollywood Records at just 12 years old. It wasn’t always smooth sailing; there were bumps and detours along the way.
For quite some time, I found myself being both guided and misguided, Carpenter stated. He further expressed, ‘I am deeply thankful for every instance where I was led off course, as now I feel much better prepared to handle situations that require me to rely on my own intuition.’
In the following year, I finally secured my major acting opportunity, starring as Maya Hart in Girl Meets World (2014-2017), a revival of the beloved 1990s series Boy Meets World.

From 2015 to 2019, a carpenter produced four studio albums under Disney-owned Hollywood Records, while also appearing in various Disney shows and movies such as Adventures In Babysitting (2016), The Hate U Give (2018), Tall Girl (2019), and The Short History of the Long Road (2019).
Nevertheless, she hadn’t managed to penetrate the mainstream as a musical artist up until then, but that appeared to be shifting with her signing to Island Records in 2021. This move paved the way for the release of the solo single “Skin,” which represented her debut on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
After that point, she released her debut album titled Emails I Can’t Send (2022) under her new Island Records label the year after, as part of its promotion. The album had five singles: Skinny Dipping, Fast Times, Vicious, Because I Liked A Boy, and Nonsense.
Following favorable critic reviews, the album made it into the top 30 rankings in countries like the United States, Argentina, Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.
Carpenter stated that his latest album, Emails I Can’t Send, is deeply melancholic and introspective. This album represents a more refined and mature side of his musical expression.
The fruits of her labor in writing, recording, and performing were evident in the positive reception given to her latest album, “Short n’ Sweet” (2024).
Referencing the emotional depth of Carpenter’s briefest romantic encounters, along with her petite stature and the album’s compact playtime, Carpenter herself has dubbed it her second “mature album,” after its debut on August 23rd.
Utilizing just three songs, it has since then become number one on the music charts in eighteen countries, which include the United States, Australia, and France.
For Carpenter, Espresso became her initial chart-topper in the UK, whereas Please Please Please is recognized as her inaugural number-one hit on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Eventually, the album climbed up the charts to reach the top position on the Billboard 200. Since then, it’s received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), a significant milestone that finally brought her the commercial success she had been striving for over many years.
Jack Antonoff, often recognized as Taylor Swift’s collaborator, has observed her evolution during their collaboration on various tracks from the album ‘Short n’ Sweet’.
The musician and producer shared with Time that they continually observe Sabrina’s work, noting it has become increasingly polished over time. In essence, their advice would be: ‘If you keep persisting, there’s no need to change – that’s the true essence of being an artist.’
She expressed that this year, many dreams I had as a child came true, which felt like a delightful, satisfying milestone for my past self as an artist. She was on SNL, and her excitement led her to say, “I got so overwhelmed when I found out about it, it was like I felt sick.” To clarify, she didn’t mean to be graphic.
At the MTV VMAs in New York last September, I (as a die-hard fan) found myself standing right there, witnessing a cherished milestone achieved by Carpenter – yet another unforgettable moment that ticked off a long-held dream from my personal bucket list.
She shared, “As a child, I’d watch those performances and think, ‘I want to be part of that.’ However, it felt more like something for another time, not necessarily unattainable, but it didn’t align with the timeline I had envisioned in my mind.
Ultimately, despite the long struggle to become a part of popular culture, the actress from “On My Way” grew both personally and professionally to such an extent that she now appreciates the benefits of how her journey transpired.
She openly admitted that she feels incredibly ready for these situations. At her age (17 or 18), she believes she would have been extremely anxious and awestruck, similar to her experience of climbing the ranks alongside artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and other prominent contemporaries.
When asked about another life experience that would cause her an overwhelming level of excitement, similar to feeling nauseous from anticipation, Carpenter replied: “Performing at the Grammys would be my dream come true.
At present, she’s traveling for concerts promoting her Short n’ Sweet album. This tour started on September 23 in Columbus, Ohio, and will take her to Hartford, Connecticut for a performance on October 2.
The tour for her first arena stretched across various regions in the U.S. and Canada, concluding on November 18, where she’ll perform two shows at the KIA Forum located in the Inglewood sector of Los Angeles.
