Sabrina Carpenter is ‘pretty transparent’ in her approach to relationships.
The 26-year-old artist believes that her exes secretly feel quite complimented when she composes and shares a song about their relationship.
The stunning woman, whose latest album is titled ‘Man’s Best Friend’, shared on CBS Mornings that she tends to be quite open about her relationships, explaining that she composes songs and believes her partners are equally comfortable with this practice.
Usually, people feel quite flattered when a song is written about them, whether it’s positive or negative.
Despite this, Sabrina refuses to confirm who inspired certain songs.

The artist, known for past relationships with Shawn Mendes and Barry Keoghan, remarked: ‘I believe it’s more engaging for others to imagine someone on their own, rather than the individual I visualize myself.’
Sabrina also admits that her music isn’t for everyone.
The artist responsible for “Manchild” mused: ‘It’s not necessary for you to appreciate my work. There seems to be a strange assumption that every artist must meet every expectation so that everybody likes everything about them.’
In the year 2024, Sabrina unveiled her final album titled “Short n’ Sweet.” Previously, she had characterized this album as a more accentuated reflection of her true personality.
The number-one artist expressed that the song “Short n’ Sweet” felt more true to her personal identity compared to her previous releases.
In an interview with Vogue, Sabrina shared that ‘Short n’ Sweet truly reflects her personality. She doesn’t have an alter ego, but this persona showcases a more accentuated side of herself.

It’s intriguing, as my attire seems reminiscent of the ’60s, giving off an impression that could evoke a voice from that era.
‘But then, when I’m speaking to the audience, I’m just myself.’
Additionally, Sabrina asserted that her style and songwriting reflect her current self and emotions towards life.
The artist known for creating Espressos has experienced significant success recently. He shared that he began dressing in clothes that felt more authentic to him, stating: “I chose attire that reflected my true self.
Later on, the songs I was composing seemed to increasingly reflect my true self.
This comes after Carpenter said her new album is ‘not for any pearl clutchers’.
She asserts her method of creating songs, emphasizing that listeners, even those who might initially be taken aback, could find something amusing in the song “Man’s Best Friend” that would make them smile or laugh.

During an appearance on CBS Mornings, Sabrina explains: ‘The album is not for any pearl clutchers.
Not necessarily, but I believe such an album could be enjoyed privately by even the most traditional listeners, perhaps bringing a smile or a chuckle to their faces.
Sabrina admits that her lyrics are quite daring. Yet, she emphasizes that her music is simply meant for enjoyment.
She mentioned: “At times, people might find the words to be quite daring and hesitate about singing them in public. It seems they contain too much personal or sensitive content.
However, imagine picturening myself at a lively concert filled with numerous exuberant young women in the front row, their voices ringing out in unison. In such a moment, it’s as if we could all collectively exhale, appreciating the sheer joy and camaraderie for what it is – just pure fun.
