Sabrina Carpenter fans left furious after paying $200 for seats that 'didn't exist' on her Short n' Sweet tour

As a long-time fan of Sabrina Carpenter, I must say this latest fiasco left me feeling more than just “short and sweet.” Paying top dollar for tickets and being seated miles away from the stage is disappointing enough, but to find out that some fans were given seats that didn’t even exist? That’s a taste of sour grapes!

Sabrina Carpenter fans have been left outraged after paying $200 for seats that ‘didn’t exist.’

On a TikTok post made on Monday, a user identified as Kelsey disclosed that she had been present at Billie Eilish’s Short n’ Sweet concert held at the United Center Arena in Chicago the previous day. However, she discovered upon arrival that there were no seats available in her designated section.

In a hurry, the venue team improvised a solution and quickly brought out movable seats, allowing the gathering to take their seats.

The situation became even more challenging as their seats, situated at a considerable distance from the stage on the periphery of the venue, prevented them from having a clear view of it while they were seated.

Writing about a video she shared, she expressed: “When Ticketmaster sells seats that aren’t really there, then provides folding chairs instead? Sabrina, I need your assistance!

She wrote in her caption, ‘@Sabrina Carpenter, oh please, three times, I spent $200 and I’m just so disappointed [sic].’

In a different phrasing, here’s how it could go: Kelsey replied by saying: “Believe it or not, we got these tickets during the pre-sale itself.

Original: Another shared: ‘I’m confused doesn’t it show you where your seats are? This fear is why I try to just do pit if I can’, to which she replied: ‘The chart didn’t display this information. Moreover, we purchased numbered seats. Since they provided folding chairs instead, our assigned seats weren’t actual seats to start with.’

TopMob has contacted Ticketmaster and United Center Arena for comment.

Sabrina kicked off her Short N’ Sweet Tour last month, which is named after her new studio album released in August.

Although she thrilled her audience, she promptly responded to a critic on social media who claimed she was lip-syncing during her live performances.

Immediately following the start of the performance, a TikTok user shared a fan-made video of her act and inquired: ‘Is she known for singing live?’

As a devoted follower, I recently shared a video that someone else posted, and in response to a query about the quality of the performance, I admitted, ‘Admittedly, it’s approximately 30% live vocals, 30% pre-recorded track, and 40% genuine singing.’

Caught by the fiery allegation, I couldn’t help but dive headfirst into the comments, eager to respond as Sabrina herself.

Sabrina boldly commented below the TikTok clip, “I perform live at all shows without fail. Would you care to chat with my sound technicians?

Still unpersuaded, the social media user responded to Sabrina, saying “I’d suggest they reduce the volume of the background voice, it’s currently quite loud.

The media has been buzzing about her album ‘Short ‘N Sweet’, particularly the track ‘Taste’, which some believe is a pointed song directed towards Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, due to its sharp lyrics.

In her song “Taste,” she doesn’t explicitly mention any specific man, but she narrates a tantalizing tale about an ex-lover who has rekindled a relationship with an old flame.

In the whirlwind of 2023, I found myself momentarily connected to Shawn, a connection that unfolded amidst the ebb and flow of his complex relationship with Camila, which at the time was experiencing one of its many ups and downs.

Shawn and Camila rekindled their relationship shortly following speculations about him dating Sabrina, however, they’ve split up once more.

Sabrina’s song lyrics are aimed at the woman who has rekindled an old flame with Sabrina’s former lover, and her words towards this new love interest are sharp and critical.

In a playful, teasing manner, she sings, ‘It seems you two are reunited again. If so, I imagine you’ll want to sample my taste whenever he’s stealing a kiss from you.’

Additionally, Sabrina discloses that prior to their breakup, she had rummaged through her ex’s closet. Now, it appears that a significant portion of his wardrobe is with her, as she expressively states, “His clothes are now on my body.

She coldly remarks about her ex-girlfriend who is back together with him: ‘Though I’ve left, there’s still a thin line between us, as you’re still lying close by.’

Sabrina acknowledges herself as the source of her ex-boyfriend’s humor, pointing out: “He’s hilarious now, and it seems like every joke he tells resonates more. Who do you think taught him that?” Speculations arose about Sabrina ending things with her current boyfriend, Barry Keoghan from Saltburn, due to his ‘party-loving’ habits.
