Sabrina Carpenter delights fans as she brings out iconic British pop rock band Duran Duran at her star-studded second sold-out BST Hyde Park gig

As a devoted admirer, I was ecstatic to witness Sabrina Carpenter‘s spectacular moment when she invited Duran Duran onto the stage during my second straight sell-out performance at Hyde Park’s British Summer Time festival.

The 26-year-old singer took to the Great Oak Stage at the London music festival on Sunday night.

65,000 spectators were captivated by Sabrina’s witty song lyrics, dance routines, and flashy outfits, all while she powerfully performed her popular tunes on stage.

To kick off her performance, Sabrina played “Busy Woman” first, followed by a selection of tracks from her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, such as “Taste”, “Bedroom Chemistry”, and “Please Please Please”.

For two consecutive nights, she filled the festival to its capacity, but those who went on Sunday were given an additional delightful surprise.

Halfway through the performance, she urged the audience to join her in a howl, preceding the arrival of the iconic pop-rock group Duran Duran onto the stage.

Simon Le Bon, the lead vocalist, and John Taylor, the bass player, stepped forward to join forces with Sabrina for a rendition of “Hungry Like The Wolf.

Sabrina announced that she had invited some friends of hers from the UK to join them on stage for a bit of fun.

Let me ask you all to utilize that raucous energy. Everyone, let’s make an incredible noise for the iconic band, Duran Duran.

Many famous stars attended the event on Sunday, among them opera singer Katherine Jenkins along with her husband Andrew Levitas and their daughter Aaliyah.

Instead of “cowboy chic,” Katherine chose a style that had a western vibe, as she walked out wearing a denim shirt decorated with lace accents and flowery embellishments, along with jeans that sported a brown leather belt.

On Sunday, too, present were Cara Delevingne and her sister Poppy, who spent an evening together, sisters bonding time.

However, after tripping and twisting her ankle, Cara blushed and dismissed it, continuing on her way into the festival while laughing it off.

In a stylish manner, Cara donned straight-legged leather pants adorned with laces, paired with a brown bomber jacket, a “mother-fucker” graphic tee, and towering stiletto boots made of leather.

British actor Jamie Dornan was likewise seen at the event, taking part in a father-daughter excursion with one of his children.

In another part of the performance, Sabrina guided the audience in London through a line dance while singing her latest chart-topper, Manchild. Following this, she paused to express her gratitude towards her fans.

She expressed her bewilderment: “I can’t quite grasp it, but it seems you managed to sell out two consecutive nights with an audience of 65,000 people at Hyde Park.

‘Exactly two years ago, I played a concert here in front of around 5,000 people. Before that, I had the privilege of opening for numerous talented artists, and I remember dreaming about this very day and moment. So, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us tonight; thank you for sharing your evening with us.’

The pop star’s espresso-making companion was enthusiastically greeted onstage by fans donning various accessories such as cowboy hats, tall boots, and sparkles – all eagerly anticipating the chance to harmonize with their idol.

Later on, she apprehended actors Ayo Edebiri from The Bear and Clairo, the musician. This is often how she begins her song Juno, displaying warning signals and the message, “You’ve been detained for being excessively heated up.

During the entire performance, she sang popular tracks from her 2022 album, Emails I Can’t Send, such as Feather, Because I Liked a Boy, and her widely recognized song, Nonsense.

Instead of performing “Espresso” from a homemade balcony and finishing with a crowd of flickering lights, Sabrina ended her sold-out concert by presenting her popular song “Espresso,” complete with a fireworks show.

After the artist declared her upcoming album, titled “Man’s Best Friend,” would drop during the summer, the show follows.

Sabrina became well-known for her role in the Disney Channel series ‘Girl Meets World’ during her teenage years, and she put out her first album titled ‘Eyes Wide Open’ through Hollywood Records in 2015.

Later on, she joined Island Records and, through them, put out her gold-accredited fifth studio album titled Emails I Can’t Send.

This year, she was honored with the Global Success Award at the 2025 Brit Awards. The recognition came as a result of her remarkable year in 2024, during which she made history by holding the top three positions on the UK singles chart with the songs Taste, Please Please Please, and Espresso, becoming the first woman to achieve such a feat.
