Sabrina Carpenter confirms new music: ‘Manchild’ goes live on Thursday

Sabrina Carpenter is at it again.

As a passionate movie buff, I’m thrilled to share that the legendary “Please Please Please” singer, now 26, unveiled his latest musical creation, titled “Manchild,” yesterday.

She posted on Instagram that this was specifically for you, mentioning it would be released on Thursday along with a unique 7″ vinyl record, which is currently up for grabs.

The image used in the announcement was taken from a Monday preview video, which sparked many queries among fans regarding the celebrity’s future endeavors. However, their curiosity is now satisfied as they have received an answer.

In this video, which is shared on Instagram as well as X platform, you can see Carpenter wearing mini denim shorts near a brown luggage case. She tries to thumb a ride from the edge of a barren roadside as a truck comes into view, but her effort goes unsuccessful. The video lacks sound until the end where her laughter and “oh boy” fill the silence.

Immediately following the teaser, it appeared almost certain that new music was imminent, as an account dedicated to Carpenter hinted at sightings of billboards along I-69 in Texas, which might be linked to the artist.

“I swear they choose me, I’m not choosing them,” one reads.

“Hey men!” says another, with a third adding, “Manchild.”

A different enthusiast brought up additional proof, specifically a “SC” emblem situated at the lower left corner of one of the advertisement boards.

This year, the carpenter has enjoyed great success, garnering two Grammy trophies in February. She was honored with the award for best pop solo performance for her song “Espresso” and best pop vocal album for “Short n’ Sweet.

Apart from being celebrated for her skills in the recording studio and live performances, she also initiated this year’s Pride Month by endorsing an open letter from The Trevor Project. This letter advocated for safeguarding federal funds allocated towards initiatives aimed at preventing suicide among LGBTQ+ individuals.

Today, this duty is evident: We must use our voices to safeguard the mental health and lives of LGBTQ+ youth. We vow to remain vocal about this issue.
