The 90s pop group S Club is reuniting for a major arena tour, nearly three years after the passing of band member Paul Cattermole.
Industry insiders suggest concerts are in the works for February 2027, and it’s possible Hannah Spearitt, who had a falling out with the group in 2023, will participate.
Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, and Tina Barrett have reportedly agreed to reunite for a tour. Several shows are planned for arenas across the UK starting early next year.
I’m so thrilled to hear Bradley McIntosh is on board for the tour! Now, everyone’s really hoping we can convince Hannah to join us too – a lot of work is going into trying to get her to say yes.
Hannah was removed from the tour last year after a disagreement with the other members. She had sold a story about a fellow bandmate’s death to a tabloid newspaper, despite a prior agreement to remain silent until more information was known.
According to a source, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding this tour. S Club has a large and dedicated fanbase, and the group would be delighted to perform for them once more.
This project will be a lovely way to fondly remember Paul, who is greatly missed. While some people involved hope Hannah will participate, there was significant tension during the previous tour, so it’s uncertain if she will.
Last month, Jon seemed to suggest a possible reunion in a social media post, writing that he’s always been someone who enjoys reminiscing about the past.
These are the people who hold onto familiar songs, saved messages, and little memories – things that might seem insignificant, but actually hold a lot of meaning for them.
S Club, originally known as S Club 7, celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2023 with a reunion.
Just weeks after they shared their news, Andy Cattermole sadly passed away unexpectedly at the age of 46. It was later determined he died of natural causes, specifically heart failure.
The band continued performing and called their tour ‘The Good Times Tour’ to celebrate their 25th anniversary, marking the time since they were first put together by music executive Simon Fuller.
S Club recently released their first song in over 20 years, ‘These are the Days,’ as a tribute to Paul.
The band, which catapulted to fame in 1998, were best known for their hits Bring It All Back, S Club Party, Reach and Never Had a Dream Come True.
The group first gained recognition on the BBC show Miami 7, and the following year, in 1999, their first single, “Bring It All Back,” reached the top of the charts.
They had some success in the US with their hit Never Had A Dream Come True.
In 2002, Cattermole left the band, and the following year, the group split up. Shortly after, their manager, Simon Fuller, started a new project called S Club Juniors.
After S Club 7, Rachel Stevens launched a successful solo music career and later reached the finals of Strictly Come Dancing in 2008, finishing as runner-up.
