Ryan Reynolds Roasts David Beckham and Tom Brady in WhatsApp Spat

Ryan Reynolds recently disclosed that David Beckham found himself unintentionally involved when he, Ryan, engaged in some friendly text banter with Tom Brady.

49-year-old actor, also part-owner of Wrexham, disclosed the content of his WhatsApp conversation with NFL player Tom, having a smaller share in rival League One team Birmingham City.

Previously, in September, I had the opportunity to witness a match that pitted the teams against each other, with the result being a 3-1 victory for Ryan’s team. That was the game where I, along with Tom and David, were in attendance.

Actor Ryan Reynolds, who’s known for playing Deadpool, wasn’t physically present, but he traded friendly banter with David and Tom throughout the game instead.

During a conversation on the Men In Blazers podcast, he mentioned that he couldn’t attend the Birmingham game, but Brady sat alongside Beckham. He admitted to sending them humorous texts, mainly focusing on jokes about their physical appearances and aging.

‘It wasn’t my finest moment and I hate that they’re both kind people in real life.’

Ryan shares ownership of Wrexham with Rob McElhenny, the actor from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, who, according to him, is just as eager, if not more so, to surpass Tom as he is himself.

He made clear that he’d be thrilled to outperform Tom Brady in sports, and it seems his enthusiasm might even surpass Rob’s.

After David confessed that his mother, Sandra, broke into tears upon learning he had become an ambassador for the King’s Foundation.

Over the past two decades, the ex-football star has served as a dedicated UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and was recently honored with the Crystal Award for his unwavering efforts in enhancing the lives of young children by working towards better living conditions.

At a gathering during the 55th yearly World Economic Forum event in Davos, Switzerland on Monday, he reminisced about initially getting involved with the King’s charitable endeavors.

David stated that when the King invited him to join his foundation, he felt deeply honored and immediately phoned his mother about it.

He admitted that she ‘burst into tears’ after hearing the news and went on to praise the King. 

I’ve consistently shown great admiration for the monarchy, as my family has long cherished and appreciated all things associated with the Royal Family.

David went on saying: “Our monarch is a truly remarkable individual. It’s not only in the past five or ten years that he has shown greatness; his extraordinary nature stretches back over several decades.

It turns out that our passions run parallel in many ways, with a shared love for beekeeping being one of them. He’s all about honeybees, and so am I. We both appreciate the beauty of the countryside. Additionally, he is dedicated to empowering young people, which makes me feel incredibly honored.

David sported a stylish ensemble at the occasion, donning a crisp blue-striped shirt, a fashionable knitted necktie, a sleek charcoal double-breasted suit, and polished formal footwear.

Each year, the World Economic Forum gathers innovators, researchers, business executives, and political figures.

At the awards ceremony, David delivered an emotional speech on the importance of women’s rights when he stepped up to receive his award.

He discussed the unfortunate reality that girls often face limitations due to discrimination, and expressed a desire for his daughter Harper, who is 13 years old, to have the same chances as her siblings.

At the event, UNICEF ambassador David, father of Brooklyn (age 25), Romeo (age 22), and Cruz (age 19) with his spouse Victoria, was recognized for his outstanding humanitarian efforts.

He’s expressed his long-held conviction that every child holds immense potential. In his view, if children receive adequate time, chances, and motivation, they will undoubtedly achieve their greatest capabilities.

‘Growing up, I benefited from that support from family, from coaches and from teachers’.

Afterward, David emphasized to his peers to take action in promoting women’s rights globally: “Poverty hinders them, violence oppresses them, and discrimination restricts them.

After sharing his aspirations for Harper, David also mentioned the following: ‘Girls require chances. They need unity and they need resources.’

As I stood there, beaming with pride, I couldn’t help but share my awe for this remarkable individual. The World Economic Forum’s chairperson, Hilde Schwab, was just as captivated by his exceptional leadership and unwavering humanitarian efforts in championing and safeguarding the rights of the world’s most defenseless children.
