Ryan Reynolds reveals his big ‘wish’ for pal Taylor Swift following Eras Tour
As someone who has been fortunate enough to witness the extraordinary spectacle that is Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, I can wholeheartedly say it was nothing short of mesmerizing. The level of dedication, talent, and sheer energy that Taylor pours into each performance is truly awe-inspiring.
Ryan Reynolds commended his good friend, Taylor Swift, following the completion of her highly successful Eras Tour performance.
On a Sunday, the 48-year-old actor who plays Deadpool and Wolverine shared insights about his family life with THR, discussing his bond with Blake Lively and the performer behind Cruel Summer, as well as expressing regrets over what he wished she could have accomplished during her tour.
When queried about it, the actor replied that the musician’s concert was an event worth experiencing.
He responded: ‘Research? There’s no comp for that. It’s a thing to witness.’
The man with four children expressed his desire that the energetic singer from Dancing with the Stars could have enjoyed watching her own lively performance as a spectator in the audience instead.
He mentioned to Taylor earlier that it would be great if she could get a chance to see herself perform from the audience’s perspective, just for a brief moment, he added.
Reynolds and the 37-year-old actress from “It Ends With Us” were present at three concerts during The Eras Tour: two in New Orleans on October 25th and 26th, and one in Madrid on May 29th.
At the tail end of October, following the Eras Tour, Reynolds expressed his backing for the You Belong With Me singer on Instagram using language that was quite similar.

This place is massive yet cozy. Unfortunately, it’s disappointing that she can’t join the crowd to share in everyone else’s view and emotions. To see herself on stage would be something I wish she could witness. However, this isn’t feasible physically speaking, and even if it were, securing tickets at the last minute isn’t an option.
Since 2015, Reynolds, Lively, and Swift have maintained a strong friendship. They’ve been seen attending social events together and, most recently, cheering on their mutual friend Travis Kelce at Kansas City Chiefs games.
In honor of her high-profile friends, Ryan and Blake, Taylor Swift titled the characters in one of her songs “Betty,” after their kids James, Inez, and Betty at that time. This song is found on her 2020 album called Folklore.
Last year on March 17th, the Eras Tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona, and raked in more than $1.04 billion, setting a new record as the highest-grossing tour of all time, as reported by AP.
During each stop on the Eras Tour, the artist August unexpectedly performed four different songs on both the piano and acoustic guitar at every show.
Over the span of her two-decade musical journey, she played almost all the songs from her extensive collection of over 300 tracks where she provided vocals.
On December 8, Vancouver, Canada played host to Swift as she concluded her Eras Tour. A two-person camera team was busy capturing the final three shows in this city, which has led spectators to speculate that Swift might be working on another concert film.
Swift secretly filmed the concert film during her string of shows in Los Angeles back in August of 2023 — the film was released two months later on October 13.
The movie, having earned more than $261 million globally, currently holds the title for the highest-grossing concert film ever shown.
It hasn’t been verified by Taylor Swift and her crew if another movie venture is under development. However, given her penchant for hidden clues and unexpected revelations, it’s highly likely that she might be keeping a hidden follow-up project close to her heart.
The Eras Tour Book was released exclusively at Target earlier this month for $39.99.
Speaking about the visual elements and props, Swift explained that her intention was to construct scenes that give the impression of an alien abduction, a battlefield, a place of worship, a psychiatric hospital, a haunted mansion, and a typical showgirl’s dressing room.
One singer referred to the book as a ‘comprehensive recollection’ or ‘detailed reminiscence’ of the ‘most memorable tour of her career’.
She also sparked rumors of a possible twelfth album and another tour with the final line in the Eras Tour Book: ‘See you next era.’
