Ryan Reynolds reveals cute nickname his kids have given Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman… after sharing name of 4th child with Blake Lively
As a lifestyle expert, I find it heartwarming to see such strong bonds between people, especially between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The way their friendship has extended to his kids is truly remarkable. It’s not every day we come across stories of co-stars becoming family friends off-screen.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have an exceptionally strong friendship, to the point that Ryan’s children fondly refer to Hugh as “Uncle Hughey.”
Ryan, 47-year-old actor, told a touching tale about his kids’ bond with his Deadpool and Wolverine costar Hugh. He shared amusingly how his youngest daughter Betty, who was four at the time, playfully “confronted” Hugh during the NYC premiere.
Ryan shared with Extra on Monday that everyone seems to have a soft spot for Uncle Hughey. This turn of events worked out favorably for him. However, Uncle Hughey encountered an issue when Betty, who fancies herself quite formidable, attacked him in the backstage area. I had to briefly separate them to calm Betty down.
Hugh added with a chuckle, implying his own character Wolverine’s exceptional abilities, “I believe she thinks I have healing powers, but I have my doubts.”
After Ryan shared the name of his and Blake Lively’s youngest child, a funny story followed.
At the movie’s opening night, Ryan expressed his affection towards Hollywood’s influential duo’s four kids in front of the audience: nine-year-old James, seven-year-old Inez, and their two daughters, Betty, and Olin.
On February 12, 2023, Ryan and Blake became parents for the fourth time, keeping the gender of their latest child a secret.

Blake suggested in her caption that she had recently had a baby, alluding to it with the phrase “Been busy,” during the Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023 event.
The name reveal also comes after Ryan opened up about his and Blake’s plan to expand their family.
In an enthusiastic interview with E! News, he shared, “The more, the merrier for us! The more little ones we can have, the better. Just imagine, a house filled with children, making chaos and creating precious memories.”
‘I love it. Let’s have more!’ he gushed to the outlet.
Ryan went on to describe once more the strong bond between his children and Hugh, adding playfully that they “really enjoy spending time with him.”
I can’t help but joke that my kids seem to favor Hugh over me. It’s mostly due to my role as their parent, I suppose.
In their home, the father of four shared that they frequently watch the actor’s films, who is 55 years old.
‘They watched The Greatest Showman more than the editor for The Greatest Showman,’ Ryan said.
Occasionally, when I return home, I find Hugh acting out stories with our children. It’s really astonishing to witness.
In 2010, Blake and Ryan exchanged their vows at the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. They had met while working together on the film “Green Lantern” two years prior.
In December 2014, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named James, into the world. Two years after that, on September 30, 2016, they had another baby girl, whom they named Ines.

The R-rated action-comedy is slated to hit theatres July 26, 2024.
