Ryan Reynolds lining up Hugh Jackman reunion for new movie
As a die-hard fan who has witnessed the dynamic duo of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in action since their iconic portrayals of Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, this news is absolutely thrilling! The chemistry between these two titans on the big screen was undeniable, and the box office success of “Deadpool & Wolverine” has only solidified their status as a formidable team.
Ryan Reynolds is planning a film collaboration with Hugh Jackman, following their successful partnership in Deadpool and Wolverine.
More recently, they shared the screen as the main characters in Marvel’s most recent blockbuster hit, earning over $1 billion globally after premiering in July.
Currently, Reynolds is affirming his intention to team up once more with Jackman and the director of Deadpool and Wolverine, Shawn Levy, in a fresh, non-Marvel film that he’s presently penning.
He shared with Variety that he’ll be dedicating the entire year to writing. Specifically, he’s penning a film where he, Hugh Jackman, and Shawn Levy will star – but this isn’t a Marvel production.
Reynolds didn’t provide more information regarding the project, and it remains uncertain if a production studio will take it up.
If things move forward as planned, this will be my fourth project alongside Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy. We teamed up before in 2021’s “Free Guy” and 2022’s “The Adam Project”.
After scoring a hit at the movie theater, the film featuring Deadpool and Wolverine became accessible on digital platforms a month ago. Starting from Tuesday, November 12, it can also be streamed on Disney+.
In August, Reynolds discussed his role as Wade Wilson, stating that the production of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ did not plan for a sequel movie.
He expressed that the film wasn’t intended as an advertisement for another movie or any such promotional content. Instead, he finds immense pleasure in creating a movie like that.
To be frank, at this very instant, I’m unsure if I’ll ever slip back into the Deadpool suit once more – oh, how I wish I could! – but truth be told, I can’t predict. This moment seems to call for a brief hiatus, a time to suspend it and observe what unfolds next.
Deadpool & Wolverine is released on Disney+ on November 12.
