Ryan Reynolds Accused of Exploitation in Explosive Legal Battle with Justin Baldoni!

Ryan Reynolds is facing criticism for trying to disassociate himself from a lawsuit, with Justin Baldoni‘s lawyer stating that Reynolds had a substantial part in molding its details.

On Tuesday, Reynolds requested to be released from Baldoni’s defamation lawsuit worth $400 million. This legal action was initiated due to accusations of sexual harassment leveled against Baldoni by Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively.

In his plea, Reynolds depicted himself as a caring husband who personally observed the emotional turmoil, damage to her reputation, and the financial ruin that Lively experienced.

I, too, assert that Baldoni was trying to make me feel embarrassed for being a man who values listening to and standing by the women in my life.

But Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman isn’t having it.

In a conversation with TMZ on Wednesday, he retorted by stating, “Mr. Reynolds’ misuse of his significant influence in Hollywood is ongoing, and now he audaciously requests to be released from the case, even though his active role, as publicly acknowledged, goes beyond simply being a supportive partner.

Freedman stood firm in his assertions, pointing a finger at Reynolds for allegedly being the main figure in a defamatory campaign that Freedman referred to as a smear campaign.

Mr. Reynolds played a significant role in the plan by slandering Justin within the Hollywood community, pressuring WME to terminate their contract with Justin, and attempting to sabotage Justin’s professional path at every opportunity.

Earlier reports indicated that Reynolds’ court document challenged Baldoni’s assertion that the ‘Nicepool’ character in Deadpool & Wolverine was intended as a jest at his expense. Reynolds contested this by labeling Baldoni as sensitive.

Freedman, however, scoffed at Reynolds’ attempt to exit the case.

From the beginning of the smear campaign against Justin and the Wayfarer group, it’s been obvious that his actions have left their mark everywhere. Now, Mr. Reynolds tries to downplay serious allegations as mere hurt feelings, implying that such aggressive behavior is tolerable.

He didn’t just stop at that point; instead, he said, “Having lit a match, Mr. Reynolds now plans to escape from the fire. However, this strategy won’t succeed. The allegations against him by The Wayfarer Parties are genuine and severe.

Regardless of how often Mr. Reynolds chooses to participate in comedy sketches attempting to joke about his predicament, we won’t rest until he faces consequences for his behavior.

The sketch seems to allude to Reynolds’ SNL 50th anniversary performance, during which he and Lively appear to satirically address their persistent legal issues with Baldoni.

Reynolds aims to have the case permanently dismissed, meaning Baldoni wouldn’t be able to resubmit this lawsuit again in the future.

However, given the flames emanating from Baldoni’s legal team, it seems they are ready to battle at each stage of the process.

In his petition for termination, Reynolds stated that he felt justified in having a negative view of Baldoni, due to the actions he took towards his wife.

According to the reports, it’s within Mr. Reynolds’ rights under the First Amendment to express profound contempt towards Mr. Baldoni, or any other man he suspects of sexually harassing his spouse.

The filing marks an extraordinary twist in the epic battle between Baldoni, Reynolds and Lively.

As a lifestyle authority, I found myself in an unexpected situation back in December of the previous year. That’s when I initiated legal action, claiming that during our work together on the film “It Ends With Us,” a domestic violence drama, my colleague allegedly orchestrated a malicious campaign against me due to the strained atmosphere on set.

In response, Baldoni, aged 41, filed a $400 million lawsuit for defamation against Lively, aged 37, Reynolds, aged 48, and The New York Times, after they published an extensive piece about her allegations.

In his most recent argument, Reynolds asked to be removed from the case for multiple reasons, suggesting the intensity of the disagreement has grown very personal.

Lawyers for him questioned, “In terms of legal implications, beyond being a loving partner who’s observed the emotional, professional, and financial ruin Ms. Lively experienced up close, what is Ryan Reynolds connected to this case? Absolutely nothing.

Reynolds alleges that his inclusion as a defendant in the case was primarily due to a promise made by Steve Sarowitz, a co-founder of Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios, to cause harm amounting to $100 million to himself and Lively.

In simpler terms, the actor from Deadpool argues that Baldoni’s accusations are filling up this court with unnecessary, attention-grabbing text aimed at a different audience, which has little to do with any legitimate legal issue.

Reynolds is pointed out as having been accused on two separate instances where he reportedly referred to Baldoni as a ‘predator’.

But Reynolds says that this is protected speech – because he firmly believes it.

The filing indicates: ‘Baldoni’s complaint does not provide convincing evidence that Reynolds didn’t believe his comment to be accurate; instead, the key accusations imply that Reynolds sincerely, possibly fervently, holds the belief that Baldoni’s actions are indicative of a ‘predator’.’

Later, Reynolds alluded to Nicepool, a fictional character from Deadpool & Wolverine (which debuted in July), who is said to be modeled after Baldoni – right down to the distinctive man bun hairstyle he sports.

The text indicates that Baldoni’s strong reaction towards the satirical film character, “Nicepool,” is not backed by any legitimate lawsuits or claims.

Rather than supporting the broad claim of being emotionally wounded, it appears to be a desperate attempt by (Baldoni) to continue perpetuating the fabricated “bully” image that was spread during their counterattack against Ms. Lively back in August 2024.

In another fiery section, Reynolds points out that Baldoni’s criticism, spanning over 179 pages, was ‘rich in exaggeration’.

or

Reynolds, in a heated segment, remarks that Baldoni’s critique, stretching across 179 pages, was ‘filled with excessive rhetoric’.

or

In another passionate excerpt, Reynolds comments that Baldoni’s grievance, covering 179 pages, was ‘laden with overstatement’.

In summary, this appears to be a book that serves as a platform for criticisms aimed at Mr. Reynolds, focusing on his qualities such as being open-minded towards women and empathetic during their struggles.

Reynolds goes on defending Lively, saying he is allowed to stand up for her.

In another striking example, Reynolds employs Baldoni’s own public statements as evidence, implying that Baldoni openly admits to being a known sexual harasser.

He points out that Baldoni’s own remarks frequently allude to actions which a fair onlooker might easily perceive as predatorial.

In a 2023 YouTube interview, I openly admitted that during my teenage and twentysomething years, I likely overstepped boundaries without giving it a second thought. This was largely due to the influence of pornography I was consuming at the time.

In a 2021 episode of his podcast “Man Enough,” Baldoni discussed masculinity, sharing: ‘I had an addiction to porn starting from the age of 10. This early exposure shaped my brain’s neural pathways and significantly altered my perspective on the world.’

In a different podcast episode, Baldoni confessed: ‘We’ve never been explicitly taught about consent. Instead, many of us learn about it indirectly from pornography.’

As per the report, Baldoni has confessed to employing forceful language regarding women, including phrases like: “Did you destroy that?” expressing his intention to assert control over them.

According to the document, Baldoni admitted that he hadn’t shown the respect towards women that he now realizes they deserve, in social situations as well as romantically.

In simpler terms, Reynolds argues that although the term ‘predator’ may not be immediately understood by a typical listener, it is evident that there is no significant difference between the underlying message in Mr. Reynolds’ alleged statements and the actions Mr. Baldoni has openly acknowledged in various public appearances. These actions include mistreating women for extended periods of his life, which he links to an addiction to pornography, as well as admitting a warped understanding of ‘consent’ in sexual relationships.
