Ryan Gosling’s iconic romance drama gets new UK streaming home

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the beloved romantic drama movie starring Ryan Gosling, titled “The Notebook“, has recently secured a new platform for streaming.

This week, you can stream the movie on Amazon Prime Video, available for free for subscribers in the UK and Ireland.

2004’s beloved actress, Rachel McAdams, is paired with the actress who played in both “Barbie” and “Blade Runner 2049.” In simpler terms, Rachel McAdams is working alongside an actress known for her roles in “Barbie” and “Blade Runner 2049.

The special bond between them played a crucial role in turning the movie into a timeless genre masterpiece, yet had circumstances been slightly altered, the outcome might have been quite distinct.

George Clooney expressed his desire to portray a younger Noah, with Paul Newman depicting the older version of the character. Yet, his enthusiasm waned when he recognized that he bore no resemblance to Newman, whom he described as “one of the most handsome men you’ve ever laid eyes on” during the BFI London Film Festival.

Britney Spears mentioned that she was among the last two contenders for the role of Allie, but she was fine with not getting it because she found herself unknowingly slipping into “acting methodologically,” a style she wasn’t particularly fond of.

In her book, “The Woman in Me“, she mentioned that the role in “The Notebook” came down to her and Rachel McAdams. She expressed that it would have been enjoyable to work with Ryan Gosling again, whom she knew from their time on the Mickey Mouse Club. However, she’s happy she didn’t take the part in the end.

In a recent announcement, acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks revealed plans for his next collaborative work – a “romantic supernatural thriller” novel co-written with filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan. The latter will also be directing a movie adaptation, with Jake Gyllenhaal slated to star as the main character.
