Ryan Dorsey Breaks Silence on Naya Rivera’s Sister Romance Rumors: The Truth Revealed!

Approaching five years have passed since the tragic death of Glee actress Naya Rivera, who was only 33 when she passed away. At that time, she had a four-year-old son named Josey.

Currently, Ryan Dorsey, who is both her ex-spouse and the father of their child, is addressing the gossip suggesting he has formed a relationship with her sibling, Nickayla Rivera, aged 30, after her passing.

Ryan was firm that he never romanced Nickayla. 

2020 saw the tragic incident where Naya drowned during a swim at Lake Piru, located in Ventura County, California, as she was out boating with her son that year.

Two months down the line, Ryan and Nickayla were observed out shopping, presumably for Josey’s birthday festivities. This is when whispers began about their possible romantic relationship.

As I reflect back on that moment, it may seem peculiar, but what occurred wasn’t actually holding hands – we just brushed our fingertips on the escalator. However, that seemingly innocuous gesture sparked an unexpected series of events.

I’ve rarely used social media to comment, but that instance was simply too extraordinary.

It was particularly shocking that Naya’s followers began to suspect Ryan and Nickayla of being involved in her passing.

‘People were tagging the FBI,’ he said. ‘Just f***ing insane.’

Ryan had to lean on Nickayla after Naya died because he needed someone to take care of Josey. 

‘She was such a big help,’ Dorsey said in his first interview since Naya’s death.

He said, “I aimed to maintain some semblance of normality in Josey’s life, as I was aware I would be away, busy with work.

During my five-month stay in Vancouver, Josey took care of things while I was away, showing remarkable consistency and resilience.

During her stay, which lasted approximately a year, he noted that she functioned as a significant female role model and offered a balanced perspective in discussions. This was according to People’s report.

Occasionally, it felt quite uncanny due to the similarity between her words to Josey and what a mother might say.

Ryan and Naya first got together in 2010 for a few month and rekindled their relationship in 2014.

In July 2014, they got married in Cabo San Lucas, and their daughter, Josey Hollis, was born on September 15, 2015. However, they went their separate ways in 2018.

Two years ago, Dorsey decided to move back to West Virginia, which is where he is from.  

During the two years following Naya’s passing, we resided in Los Angeles, where I was holding auditions in my garage. The monthly rent was an expensive $6,000, and it felt as though I was making no provisions for Josey’s future. This is what he expressed.

It wasn’t logical for me to remain, as the COVID-19 pandemic transformed my field so drastically that now all auditions are taped, allowing me to audition from any garage-like space.

West Virginia offers a unique vibe. It’s somewhat quiet with fewer entertainment options, but it has an undeniable charm due to its sense of safety and lack of congestion on the roads.

However, the proud father still has much more to do in Los Angeles. He frequently returns to the west coast for professional commitments – at present, he’s working on CBS’ Tracker – and to spend time with his daughter Naya’s family.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t express enough how deeply connected I feel to her entire family – her father, mother, sister, and brother. The bond we share is remarkable, and despite the passage of time, we remain as close as ever.

It’s clear that our bond has grown stronger, and currently, we’re residing with grandma. He maintains a very tight relationship with all members of his extended family, and we prioritize nurturing those connections.

Dorsey also revealed he and Josey flew to L.A. to surprise Naya’s mom for her birthday.

He said that since he hadn’t informed grandma about Josey visiting, they unexpectedly appeared and bought her flowers and a balloon instead.

He pressed the doorbell, and her face lit up with delight. She was overjoyed to find him there. She declared that it was the most wonderful birthday she’d ever had.
