The most important thing for me was shooting the project on film. We’re constantly bombarded with digital images these days, so film offers a different, more unique look and feel. It really stands out because we’re so accustomed to digital visuals.

Its main competition is likely to be Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another.” These two films are expected to compete closely in several categories, with Chloé Zhao’s “Hamnet” also being considered a top movie this season.
