Ruth Langsford’s Mum Faces New Health Scare After Recent Hospitalization!

On Saturday, Ruth Langsford’s mother was urgently taken to the hospital, only four months following a fractured pelvis incident.

The Loose Women panellist, 65, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a health update on her mother.

Ruth posted a photo showing her mom on a hospital bed last night: “Mom had another hospital stay due to a persistent chest infection.

After just a few hours of treatment, they let her go. However, we are truly grateful to the entire team at St. Peter’s Hospital in Surrey for taking such good care of us [gesturing with folded hands as a symbol of prayer].

Afterward, she shared a new message indicating that her mother was receiving excellent care from their dog Maggie during her recovery process.

‘She’s home and a bit brighter today…’ she wrote. ‘Nurse Maggie is on watch again.’ 

In January, Ruth posted an upbeat report about her mother Joan’s health, following the unfortunate fall she had in December.

Ruth announced on Instagram that her mother, who is 94 years old, has returned home following an unfortunate incident where she fractured her pelvis in a fall.

Ruth wrote about a heartwarming video she shared, featuring her mother being pampered by their dog Maggie. The caption read: “Mum has returned home at last!! After a long stay in the hospital, my mom is now safely back!

I’d like to express my gratitude to the dedicated nursing team at St.Peter’s Hospital and Woking Community Hospital for providing exceptional care to her.

In a heartwarming moment just now, as Maggie gave me a loving lick on my face, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Looks like Maggie’s absolutely thrilled to be back home!

On Boxing Day, Ruth recently informed her followers that she was traveling to the hospital to visit her mother, marking her first Christmas since parting ways with Eamonn Holmes.

It was disclosed that the star had given her cherished mother a slice of Christmas cake to savor during the holiday season.

Ruth has often stopped by Joan at the hospital following her unfortunate fall, and recently posted a photo of her enjoying a slice of cake with a cup of tea.

In another photo, the Loose Women star could be seen sporting a well-organized ponytail with her blonde hair and donning a khaki shirt, engaging in a crossword puzzle with Joan.

She wrote: ‘Nothing keeps her from her crosswords!’ 

In addition, Ruth had earlier shared a video on Instagram showcasing sneak peeks of her Christmas preparations directly from her kitchen. She kept her followers informed that the holiday season was unfolding somewhat uniquely for her this year.

She addressed the camera saying: “Hello, it seems strangely familiar because on Christmas Eve last year, I believe I was here in the kitchen, with a roller in my hair, discussing last-minute matters and wondering why I’m never as organised as those attending carol services and pantomimes tonight, who seem to have everything already taken care of, while I’m still not.

My mother is currently in the hospital, which has required frequent visits from me. However, this situation doesn’t excuse me from my preparations, as I’ve had ample time to get ready throughout the year. Despite these circumstances, I’m here, wrapping gifts and setting the table over yonder, with Maggie present as well.

Today, I prepared my homemade cranberry sauce, but there are a few tasks left on my list. I need to wrap Maggie’s Santa stocking quietly. Listen closely. By the way, I just rolled in, but I’ve got a glass of bubbly drink.

Additionally, Ruth likewise shared with fans the distressing marks on her mother Joan’s face that resulted from a fall, as she presented Joan’s agonizing wounds to them.

Ruth wrote: ‘Mom has quite a bruise around the eye following her fall! [crying face emoji] I’m trying to help by applying Arnica cream.’

With a lively spirit, she playfully remarked, “I’m 94 years old and barely have any grey hairs. I guess I got lucky with that gene!
