In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Ruth Langsford shared that her mom had unexpectedly been admitted to the hospital due to a fall over the weekend.

The television host, aged 64, disclosed that her mother, Joan (at 93 years old), will be staying in the hospital for a while to recuperate following a broken pelvis sustained during the holiday season of Christmas.

One of the panelists on Loose Women shared a touching video with her 1 million followers, showing her mother gracefully dancing and humming while chopping vegetables in their kitchen.

Additionally, Ruth clarified that this Christmas will likely be unique for her since she plans to celebrate it apart from her mother this year.

She wrote that Joan had recently had injured herself after a fall and would need to spend some time in hospital.

The star disclosed that her mother had previously fractured her pelvis on a different occasion, yet she remained optimistic about her recovery, hoping it would be as successful as it was during the previous incident.

Instead of dancing, I won’t be having any fun in my kitchen while peeling vegetables for my dear Mom this Christmas. She has had a fall and unfortunately fractured her pelvis.

‘She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. 

‘She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon. 

A year ago, she had a fall that resulted in a broken hip, but she made a swift recovery. Given her robust nature, I am confident she will bounce back from this situation as well.

For several months now, the well-known television personality has been romantically involved with counselor Katie, who is 43 years old. This relationship started following his separation from Ruth, and it’s said that he has expressed a desire to get married in public statements.

Eamonn and Ruth, known for her role on Loose Women, revealed they intend to end their 14-year marriage and 27-year relationship, which they began in June.
