Ruth Langsford 'thrilled' to be back on Loose Women as she returns to panel for the first time since split from Eamonn Holmes

As a dedicated follower of Ruth Langsford and her journey through life, I have always admired her resilience and strength, especially during trying times. Her recent return to Loose Women after an extended break following her split from Eamonn Holmes is a testament to her professionalism and commitment to her career.

Ruth Langsford expressed her excitement in simple terms, sharing that she was glad and happy to be back on Loose Women on Monday after being away from the show following her separation from Eamonn Holmes.

The ITV presenter, aged 64, temporarily stepped away from the show in May after announcing his separation from his wife after fourteen years of marriage.

Kick-starting today’s Loose Women episode, she warmly greeted: “It’s a pleasure to welcome you as our special guests for the first time this week!”

Coleen Nolan asked: ‘Can I just say, I am so so happy you are back?

‘I won’t do it again. It’s very nice to be back with you all,’ Ruth responded.

Twenty-four years ago was when Ruth made her debut on Loose Women, yet she no longer serves as their anchor, having last appeared in April.

In the meantime, Eamonn, who is now 64 years old, has carried on with his job at GB News following the separation. He hasn’t spoken publicly about the divorce and has been spotted still donning his wedding ring.

Recently, a source close to the TV industry shared with TopMob that although discussing her split was very painful for Ruth, she understands as a seasoned professional that she cannot come back on screen without acknowledging her absence from April.

A source revealed that the hosts of Loose Women are known for discussing their marital separations during live broadcasts, creating a sympathetic atmosphere.

As a devoted follower of Ruth’s journey, I can assure you that she is acutely aware of the deep interest and investment her viewers have in her personal life, particularly her recent breakup. For the very first time on the show, Ruth will be speaking directly to both herself and Eamonn.

Through the ups and downs of her relationship, the audience has stayed with her, and she’s always kept things real. Come next week, she’ll continue to share honestly with her fans. It’s only fair that she addresses them.

“I’ll be surrounded by my dearest friends on the show, marking the end of this experience. There won’t be any major interviews following this – this will be my only chance to share my thoughts.”

After Eamonn shared on Instagram last month that he was struggling with his health and mentioned his goal of eventually being able to walk again, Ruth subsequently posted comments about the separation.

For several years, the broadcaster has dealt with debilitating back pain. However, after an unproductive surgery, his health deteriorated further, making it difficult for him to move around without assistance.

Last month at the TRIC Awards, I had the pleasure of accepting the award for Best Breakfast Show at GB News. However, as I made my way up onto the stage, I relied on the support of a zimmer frame to help me move comfortably and confidently.

During his speech, he didn’t miss the chance to subtly criticize his estranged wife. He hinted to their friends and colleagues that he had been betrayed by her.

Eamonn received the award, then shared with the crowd, “A year and a half ago, I underwent an operation that unfortunately had complications. As a result, I now have two unwanted things in my life – the aftermath of the surgery and Ruth, whom I didn’t intend to acquire.”

According to a reliable tip-off to TopMob, Ruth perceived Eamonn’s remarks as an insulting jab at her. She felt unfairly treated and distressed by the situation. Furthermore, concerned friends fear that this could escalate into something quite unpleasant.

Eamonn is receiving comfort from relationship counselor Katie Alexander during his separation from Ruth. Katie, who is 22 years younger than Eamonn, is providing support.

According to reports from reliable sources, Katie has developed strong feelings for the broadcaster, whom she’s been encouraging through his difficult breakup.

A divorced woman and mother of three has developed a strong connection with the celebrity following numerous outings. She is believed to have expressed her commitment, suggesting a long-term relationship.

Now, friends have told TopMob that she and Eamonn are so close she’s ‘in love’ with him.

In the past few weeks, he has regularly met with the counselor, and it’s been reported that she desires for their bond to develop into a lasting connection.
