As a dedicated follower of Ruth Langsford’s life journey, I can truly empathize with her heartfelt sentiments about love, loss, and the deep concern for her son Jack’s happiness. Having been through my own share of life experiences, I understand how the fear of heartbreak can be a constant companion, especially when it comes to our children.

Ruth Langsford spoke candidly about heartbreak amid her divorce from Eamonn Holmes.

After 14 years of marriage, the TV personality from Loose Women, aged 64, parted ways with her spouse who is a host at GB News and also 64 years old, back in May. Since then, he has started a new relationship with Katie Alexander, who is 42 years old.

In the course of her solo journey, Ruth shared in an interview with Woman & Home that her deepest concern wasn’t about herself experiencing heartache, but rather the possibility of her 22-year-old son, Jack, encountering a similar pain.

When asked what she ‘wants most in life’, Ruth confessed: ‘Happiness. Happiness for my son, Jack.

Whenever Jack comes into the world as a child, there’s an inherent desire within you to ensure his journey through life is filled with positivity, joy, and protection from heartache. Admittedly, you can’t promise any of that, but what I yearn for him more than anything else is happiness and well-being.

Ruth co-parents Jack with Eamonn, and she’s also a stepmother to Declan, aged 35, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30, who are from Eamonn’s previous marriage to his former wife, Gabrielle.

Jack came up again in the chat as she was quizzed on who or what was her greatest love.

She reflected: “My lovely son Jack, such a charming, kind-hearted, and exceptional young man. Following him comes Maggie, our beloved rescue dog.

Initially, I believed I had no desire for a dog. However, I’ve come to realize that I can feel this level of affection for an animal, especially for her, which I hadn’t anticipated before.

In 2011, Ruth and Eamonn took in a Border Collie, and they are now engaged in a dispute over ownership – a dog that serves as almost like another child for them.

Ultimately, someone inquired about Ruth’s backup plan in life, to which she replied: “I don’t have a backup plan because I never had an initial one. Never!

Both Ruth and Eamonn have been continuing to wear their wedding rings amid their split.

While Ruth is believed to be single, Eamonn has moved on with relationship therapist Katie.

2015 saw Katie encountering Eamonn through online community X, following her comment on one of his posts which initiated an engaging exchange between them.

In October, he participated in a charitable fundraiser held in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and was designated as a patron of the organization. Notably, Katie, who is employed with the charity as a therapist, has been working there.

It was reported last month that Ruth has hired a ‘fierce’ divorce lawyer amid the bitter split.

According to The Sun’s report, Catherine Costley has received a call from Ruth, who is looking for a financial agreement.

According to The Sun, Ms. Costley is recognized for her aggressive handling of divorce settlements and advises that every woman should set aside funds, often referred to as an emergency “go bag,” upon leaving a relationship.

Previously, the divorce attorney had been a trainee under the tutelage of the renowned British divorce lawyer, Baroness Fiona Shackleton, affectionately known as ‘Steel Magnolia’. This esteemed legal figure gained notoriety for her work on the high-profile divorce case between Charles and Diana in 1996.

Baroness Shackleton has also worked with A-list stars including Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher and Madonna, and was once doused with water in court by a furious Heather Mills while representing the Beatles legend during the couple’s divorce in 2008.
