Ruth Langsford breaks silence on This Morning return

As a long-time fan of Ruth Langsford, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia with her potential return to “This Morning.” Her charisma and wit have graced our screens for decades, from her early days on the show to her current stint on “Loose Women.

Ruth Langsford has hinted at the possibility of coming back to This Morning, suggesting that it’s something that might not be entirely off the table in the future.

The individual you see on “Loose Women” as a panelist right now has been a frequent guest on “This Morning” since 1999, but last appeared on the program in 2022.

On November 27th, it became known that Martin Frizell, who has been an editor for a decade, is leaving his position. This news has sparked discussions about potential changes to the current lineup of hosts.

Discussing at Brisbane airport before her appearance on “I’m a Celebrity: Unpacked”, Langsford expressed backing for Jane Moore and GK Barry from “Loose Women” team, and also mentioned that she hasn’t heard about any potential adjustments for the show after Frizell’s exit, which is planned for next year.

Regarding any updates, Langsford mentioned that he hasn’t been involved for the past two years,” he said. When inquired about a potential comeback, the celebrity, who has danced on Strictly Come Dancing, responded casually: “One can never rule out the possibility.

Starting in 2014, Frizell has been part of the show. However, he’s announced that he will be leaving next year due to a shift in his family commitments, requiring him to focus more on his loved ones.

I deeply cherish my team at ITV, and the exhilaration of live television has been an unforgettable part of my experience. However, the job requires constant attention, around the clock, every day of the week, making it impossible for me to balance both roles effectively. It’s been a profound honor to guide exceptional presenters and producers, and I will greatly miss our collaborations.

Together, we’ve produced over 6,000 hours of live current-affairs programming, which is roughly equivalent to 20,000 separate segments. While accolades are always appreciated, I take the most pride in the positive impact we’ve made on countless lives… This endeavor serves as the greatest challenge for any broadcast journalist.
