Level Infinite will begin a public beta test of its action-survival game, Rust Mobile, on Android devices in Hong Kong and Macao on July 9, 2026. The game, formerly known as Codename Outpost, has been tested extensively, including alpha testing in Canada in 2025 and a closed beta test in China. Several delays occurred to ensure a stable and improved gaming experience.

The game starts with you having absolutely nothing. You’ll spend your time gathering materials, constructing a base, making weapons, and discovering the secrets of the island. You can interact with animals – including hunting dangerous predators like bears – and improve your situation while also navigating interactions with other players, who could be helpful or hostile. Expect intense raiding, careful resource management, and exciting player-versus-player combat.

You can join this open beta without any keys or codes! Just be aware that it’s a test server, meaning all your progress – characters, data, everything – will be reset when it ends. When the full game launches, you’ll be able to download it from the Google Play Store, TapTap, or the official website. The July launch information for China likely referred to this regional test.
