Russell Crowe has been sporting a much trimmer physique of late.
The Australian actor looked fit and fantastic on Saturday while at the Zurich Film Festival.
Russell Crowe, 61, looked delighted while accepting the Lifetime Achievement Golden Eye Award at the glamorous event.
Russell looked dapper in a smart, navy blue suit paired with a light blue dress shirt and teal tie.
He finished the look with leather dress shoes and a pricey, chunky watch.
The star wore his long, greying hair slicked off his face and was sporting a white beard.
Russell was also looking slimmer than ever in June at the Golden Bee Awards in Malta.
The reason behind his dramatic weight loss has since come to light: He’s shredding for the wedding.
Actor Russell and his fiancée, Britney Theriot, 32, have been hinting at a wedding for some time, and it appears he’s now prepared to get married.
According to a source speaking with Woman’s Day, Russell needed to lose weight for an upcoming film set during the Great Depression, which he’s shooting in Bavaria. He also reportedly wanted to get in shape before his wedding to Britney.
‘He’s been getting heat from his boys for stringing Britney along and avoiding setting a date.
Now that he’s reached his perfect weight, he has no reason to delay getting married, according to a source.
It comes after Russell ignited rumours he is set to tie the knot with Britney in Rome.
Rumors started earlier this year that the couple was planning a wedding in Italy, possibly after they were seen visiting a church during a recent trip.
The couple began dating in 2020, and last year they traveled to Rome when Russell played a show with his band, The Gentlemen Barbers, at the Forum Theatre.

Italy had always been the couple’s dream wedding location. According to a source, their trips there consistently deepened their connection and strengthened their love for each other.

Russell and Britney often travel to Italy together, and people started speculating about an engagement after their trip there last year.
The pair confirmed their long-rumoured romance with a kiss on a tennis court in November 2020.
