F5 Games has released its classic adventure RPG, Runes of Legend, on Android. Originally a popular online game for computers that came out in November 2024, it’s now available to play on mobile devices. There’s no word yet on when it might be released for iPhones and iPads.

Runes of Legend is a fantasy game set in a magical world full of secrets. You play as a hero who must journey through lands that were once peaceful but are now facing a growing darkness. What really stands out is the game’s art style – it beautifully combines old-school pixel art with a fresh, modern design, creating a look that feels both familiar and new.

This game first gained popularity on computers with its nostalgic style, and it’s great to see it now available on mobile. You can play as a powerful Blood Mystic, control the oceans as a Seafolk Warrior, or transform into a Beastmaster.

I’m really excited to try out all the different characters – they each have special powers and look great, which keeps the game interesting. The combat is quick and action-packed, with combos, dodging, and strong abilities, and you can even battle epic bosses for rewards.

The game combines relaxing, hands-off gameplay with traditional RPG elements, meaning your characters continue to improve even when you’re not actively playing. This mobile version looks great, featuring classic 16-bit graphics, a variety of heroes and items, and lots of different dungeons to explore. I have a feeling I’m going to spend a lot of time upgrading my heroes and battling powerful bosses!
