The music video showcases LEGO Minifigure renditions of Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and an energetic Global Girls Crew – DJ Livia, drummer Nandi Bushell, singer Pink Oculus, and Chinese alt-pop artist Cacien. Together, they’ve reimagined the classic track to shatter the antiquated notion that only males can be “builders”.

In a vibrant mix of LEGO animation, real-life appearances, and sign language, this video highlights girls as powerful creators.
