RUMOR: Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler Eyes Danielle Deadwyler for Lead Role in X-Files Reboot

A source at Nexus Point is reporting that Danielle Deadwyler is in discussions with Ryan Coogler, the director of *Black Panther*, about joining his upcoming reboot of *The X-Files*. The new series is expected to follow the original’s format with two lead investigators – a man and a woman – and Deadwyler is reportedly being considered for the female lead.
