Ruby Rose publicly supported Taylor Swift after Swift faced online criticism. The backlash stemmed from some fans questioning Swift’s portrayal as an activist and feminist.
The Australian actress, age 39, has been friends with Taylor Swift for ten years. She recently responded to fans, known as ‘Swifties,’ who were upset about her new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ with some calling its themes ‘conservative’.
Taylor Swift, 39, is facing some criticism because of her public relationship with her fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce. He’s frequently mentioned in her popular new album.
Rose expressed strong disapproval on Threads, stating she wouldn’t associate a woman she’s close to – whom she calls ‘The Show Girl’ – with a group she believes are similar to MAGA followers, who she claims are attempting to link the two.
The actress, known for playing Batwoman, then responded to accusations from Taylor Swift fans that the singer had become more conservative. These claims arose from lyrics about motherhood on her new album and suggestions that Swift secretly supports Donald Trump.
‘[But] what I will say is this,’ Rose continued.

If you’re being swayed by the recent ‘Trad wife’ trend and its associated claims, especially considering the strong public opposition between its proponents and figures like Donald Trump, you’re likely falling for a deliberately provocative and misleading online tactic designed to incite anger.
That’s not true, and it’s really ridiculous. It’s upsetting to see anyone wasting time on it, and frankly, it’s embarrassing.
‘Keep that energy and let’s take it where it’s necessary and needed.’
Elsewhere on Threads, Rose backed Swift up over her much-publicised philanthropy and generosity.
Rose shared that Taylor Swift apparently used to browse GoFundMe as if it were a typical social media platform, clicking the button to acknowledge donations in the same way people ‘like’ posts.
Taylor Swift shocked some listeners with her song “Eldest Daughters” on the album *Showgirl*, where she admits, “When I said I don’t believe in marriage, that was a lie.”
In the song “Wi$h Li$t,” she expresses a desire for a more settled life, hinting at wanting a family and a home in the suburbs. She sings about having children and becoming a familiar, established figure in her neighborhood, even imagining a basketball hoop in the driveway.
Swift has shown support for Rose, who she met in 2015, and the LGBTQ+ community.

In 2016, the singer presented Rose with the main award at the GLAAD Media Awards, which recognize positive portrayals of LGBTQ+ people.
Rose was one of the famous friends pop star Taylor Swift often hung out with around 2016 – a group frequently seen partying together.
The group included Blake Lively, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne.
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively had a disagreement, but it seems like they’re now trying to become friends again.
Taylor Swift and Lively have begun to mend their relationship after a public dispute. Lively showed support for Swift’s new album by liking her recent Instagram post announcing its release, signaling a small step towards reconciliation.
I was so upset to hear about Taylor getting pulled into the legal issues between Lively and her ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star, Justin Baldoni. It’s really heartbreaking, because apparently, this whole situation caused a major rift between Taylor and Lively – they used to be incredibly close, and now it seems like that friendship is over. It’s just really sad to see.
It looks like Blake Lively and Taylor Swift might be working on rebuilding their friendship, as Swift’s song ‘Cancelled!’ seems to reference Lively.
Instead of writing a song to criticize her former best friend, as many fans predicted, Taylor Swift chose to celebrate their years of friendship with a message of support.
The famous singer, who is also a billionaire, seemed to try and make peace in the song’s main refrain, possibly hoping to resolve their well-known disagreement.
Her lyrics, ‘At least you know exactly who your friends are / They’re the ones with matching scars,’ suggest a connection between people who have shared similar painful experiences – those who have been criticized or felt alone.
Taylor’s lyrics serve an image of strong friendship with Blake, rather than a feud anthem.
