Roxy Jacenko says she ‘locked eyes’ with Romeo Beckham in Italy as she reveals her fun new career move: ‘Let’s face it, I like them younger!’

Roxy Jacenco has held various roles during her professional journey – she’s known for her expertise in public relations, has authored books, spoken publicly, starred on reality TV, and is a mother of two children.

Now Roxy, 44, has revealed another feather in her professional cap – a doyenne of table décor.

On Tuesday, she unveiled a collection of home decor items such as tableware and decorative accents, in partnership with one of her preferred retailers, Provincial Home Living.

In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Roxy shared that setting dining tables has long been a cherished passion of hers.

She mentioned that her passion for decorating tables is well-known among her friends and family. In fact, they often tease her about it. When she invites them over and says ‘it’s casual’, what she actually means is that the table setting will be elaborate.

Hey there! As a die-hard fan, I simply can’t miss out on the drama unfolding behind the scenes of my favorite stars. From juicy scandals that rock the A-list, to red carpet blunders that make headlines, and everything in between – exclusive photos and viral moments that you won’t find anywhere else. ‘The only casual part is that I’ll be in a crop top and shorts and a pair of trainers!

There’s an extraordinary charm in setting a table. The artistic journey involved in it is delightful – from selecting and coordinating the dishes and linens to choosing the perfect floral arrangements.

Given Roxy’s exceptional knack for designing tablescapes, the query arises as to whom would make ideal attendees for her dinner soirees.

She mentioned that PopMart founder Wang Ning, along with Kris Jenner, Ciara, 50 Cent, and Romeo Beckham (son of soccer legend David Beckham and ex-Spice Girl Victoria) would all receive seating arrangements, according to her statement.

Roxy expressed her desire to meet up with Romeo once more, as they had a brief encounter in Italy the previous year.

She swears she locked eyes with the 22-year-old while they were both holidaying on yachts.

Last summer in Porto Cervo, Italy, our boat was docked beside his. At that time, he was aboard the Seven, a luxury yacht belonging to his family, while I was vacationing on Liquid Sky. I’m confident we made eye contact with each other! This is what Roxy remembered.

‘Let’s face it, I like them younger and he just hasn’t met me yet,’ she jokingly added.

Romeo may feel let down, as Roxy confessed that although she’s quite skilled at setting the table, there’s room for improvement in her culinary abilities.

As a die-hard fan, let me spill the beans: When it comes to tantalizing our taste buds, none other than my beloved husband, Oliver Curtis, along with our dedicated full-time chef, steals the show!

‘It’s just not in my DNA,’ she said.

It seems that Oli enjoys cooking, considering it as his form of therapy amidst our shared living situation. However, despite his offers, I’m a peculiar eater and we have a professional chef in Singapore who takes care of the household’s culinary needs. Each of us prefers distinct meals due to our individual dietary requirements, making four people quite the challenging eaters!

‘On Saturdays, Oli is usually found preparing meals for Hunter in the kitchen. This is typically after their morning workout at the gym, which happens at 6 am. Following this exercise routine, they then go to play soccer during the weekends.’

Roxy confessed to being particularly skilled at one specific dish, but also warned that it could easily go wrong as well.

She mentioned that she can cook her pre-made meals from Chef Good flawlessly when she’s working in Sydney, but there’s still a chance she might accidentally burn her fingertips. Instead, she prefers to focus on what she excels at – making deals.

She, too, shared her thoughts about Carrie Bickmore’s latest parenting trick where she serves spaghetti Bolognese right on the dining table.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share my perspective on an unconventional dining idea that some might consider. However, when it comes to feeding my family, I prefer the traditional route – setting the table with plates.

‘It takes my anxiety to new levels,’ she said.

Carrie is simply amazing, and I truly admire her skills as a single parent – it’s no easy feat. If it means our children can eat without a plate, I’m completely on board, as that means fewer dishes to wash, making me quite resourceful!

In conversation about her work with Provincial Home Living, Roxy explained that the focus of her edits was on creating items that were both versatile and affordable.

She clarified that the focus of the edit was adaptability. Given not everyone can afford a variety of dishes and tableware, she aimed for an assortment that would suit many households.

‘But also something workable for day to day not just special occasions.

‘The cost played a significant role too. My aim was to ensure affordability since a large portion of what’s available out there remains beyond the means of many consumers.’

Roxy, a seasoned PR professional with 18 years under her belt, has witnessed a variety of table decorations throughout her career. She noted that, much like many other aspects, trends in this area have significantly evolved over time.

With 18 years in public relations, organizing events played a significant role, and I found that many of my colleagues favored a minimalist approach for morning, afternoon, and evening events, as they put it.

At the gathering, I aimed to project an exuberant ambiance, focusing on creating visually appealing moments for social media. For me, such occasions were all about generating engagement, as capturing striking images of seating arrangements and surroundings was key to attracting attention at events.

2025 leans towards a laid-back, organic, and customized style. Instead of maintaining stiff, formal atmospheres, we are transitioning towards a more casual, thoughtful appearance that incorporates mismatched items, natural elements, and distinctive features.
