Roxy Jacenko announces shock career move two years after quitting PR in ‘mid-life crisis’
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Roxy Jacenko’s comeback to publicity and Sydney is indeed a captivating turn of events. Her journey from stepping down as director of Sweaty Betty to launching a range of ‘LipMount’ iPhone cases is nothing short of fascinating.
Roxy Jacenko recently declared she’s coming back into the spotlight and to Sydney, having been away as Sweaty Betty’s director for only two years.
On Tuesday afternoon, Roxy, 44, shared the news to her Instagram followers with a not-so-cryptic hint as to what she’s doing next.
The photo shows Roxy’s hand on the driving wheel of her car with her WhatsApp messages visible on her open laptop.
In November 2022, I took a leap and left PR – perhaps a mid-life crisis, but who’s counting? Fast forward to today, I’m back in the game, and it feels like I never left! 💥💥💥💥💥
In the warm embrace of April, I eagerly shared the exciting news about my newest entrepreneurial journey – introducing an array of innovative iPhone cases under the brand name ‘LipMount’.
The trendy mobile cases have a space on the back to securely store your favourite lip gloss.
It remains undecided if Roxy plans to rejoin the public relations field at a new agency, launch another one herself, or is merely generating buzz for her phone case business.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Roxy for comment.
270x, the latest creation from the previous proprietor of Sweaty Betty, is now available for purchase at Fone King’s online store for $24.99.
She shared with news.com.au that her goal was to venture into a different direction than what she’s usually known for, and to design a collection of phone accessory fashion pieces that can be swapped based on one’s needs, rather than sticking with the same ‘Roxy’ style.
She’s always been the type who spots a trend and jumps right into action, and she has enjoyed a great deal of success because of it.
2021 saw a surge in popularity for phone cases designed like lip gloss, particularly after influencer Hailey Bieber started promoting iPhone cases featuring her cosmetic line, which she often showcased via mirror selfies.
Roxy shared that she found inspiration to develop the product upon observing Hailey Bieber’s achievements, and since Rhode products aren’t sold in Australia, she decided to create something similar.
She shared with the publication, “It’s quite practical for a busy woman, and it’s priced affordably so it won’t strain your budget.
In the year 2023, I embarked on a journey with my loved ones, determined that our destination – Singapore – would mark a permanent departure from the familiarity of Sydney for me.
She informed Daily Mail Australia earlier this year that she has no intention of returning. regretfully, she added.
As a devoted admirer, let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the enchantment of Australia. The charm is not only in gazing upon the vast ocean, but also in the privilege of proximity to an array of diverse landscapes. I am captivated by its allure!
Ever since relocating to Singapore, I’ve embarked on trips to Thailand, Vietnam, and even India. Being so distant from the familiarity of Australia, my life has taken on a vibrant new hue. The opportunity for adventure and diverse experiences is now at my fingertips.
