Rossi unpacks the past in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2, Episode 8 (Preview)
As a long-time fan of Criminal Minds and someone who has followed the BAU team through thick and thin, I have to say that the recent turn of events in Rossi’s storyline has left me feeling a bit uneasy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always enjoyed the complex relationships and character development on this show, but the revelation about Rossi’s affair with Jill feels like a cheap shot.
In a shocking turn of events during the latest episode of “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” I was stunned to learn that Dr. Rossi had kept a significant secret hidden from us all. It turns out that Jill Gideon and he had been involved in an affair, leading him to leave the Behavioral Analysis Unit, not due to bureaucracy as previously assumed.
I can understand why Rossi wasn’t keen on Jill being involved in the Gold Star case. Her expertise would certainly be valuable when it comes to identifying who might have access to that unpublished white paper. After all, she was deeply involved in creating the BAU and knows its inner workings like the back of my hand. Yet, Rossi seemed reluctant to revisit the past. Maybe he feared that delving into old memories could complicate things or bring up unwanted emotions. Regardless, I respect his decision even if I don’t fully agree with it.
Based on my years of watching Criminal Minds and following the development of the Rossi character, I have grown fond of his complex backstory and current relationships. The upcoming episode 8 synopsis mentions that Rossi must confront past issues with an old flame. While I’m intrigued by potential new romantic storylines, I hope the writers don’t introduce Jill as a love interest for Rossi moving forward.
Tyler and Rebecca team up in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2, Episode 8
In the synopsis, it’s not just Rossi who has a significant role. Rebecca is also showing signs of overlooking Tyler’s past criminal record. She recognizes his capabilities and intends to work with him. Likewise, Tyler aspires to change his ways. As a result, they plan to join forces.
I’m a fan, and from what I saw in the last episode, Voit asked his lawyer to hand something to Damien. In the upcoming episodes, Tyler and Rebecca are going to discover that Voit’s lawyer is hiding something. They’ll feel compelled to investigate this situation since it might indicate that Voit isn’t being truthful with us at BAU, undermining our deal.
As a devoted fan, I can’t deny the significance of Gold Star’s ongoing storyline. Jade and Damien are on a rampage, leaving a trail of destruction behind them. The BAU team is hot on their heels, determined to put an end to their violent spree before it’s too late. With only three episodes remaining in this season, we all know that the resolution won’t be swift or easy.
Take a look at the synopsis for the episode:
The BAU tries to get ahead of Jade and Damien who are on a killing spree. Rossi must confront an old flame to unpack the secrets behind the Gold Star program. Tyler and Rebecca attempt to gain leverage over Elias Voit’s lawyer.
