Ross King makes rare comment about his love life as he praises his ‘beautiful’ girlfriend Bridget – after his glamorous partner shocked Strictly viewers

Ross King recently shared a sweet comment about his girlfriend, Bridget, calling her ‘beautiful’ during a podcast interview. This came after Bridget surprised viewers with her appearance on *Strictly Come Dancing* over the weekend.

The 63-year-old entertainment reporter kicked off his time on the BBC dance competition by performing the cha-cha-cha with his professional partner, Jowita. They danced to Katy Perry’s song “California Gurls.”

He publicly thanked his girlfriend after his performance for traveling to see him perform.

Cameras spotted Bridget looking gorgeous in a black, strapless dress alongside his sister, Elaine. Fans were surprised and excited, as they hadn’t realized he was in a relationship.

He recently appeared on the How To Be 60 podcast with Kaye Adams, where he enthusiastically spoke about Bridget and shared his plans to remain living in Los Angeles.

I absolutely adore LA. Honestly, I can’t imagine leaving anytime soon – it would take a lot for me to move away. It truly feels like home. I’ve built a fantastic life there, and I’m so happy with my girlfriend, Bridget. We have such a great time together, and that’s what makes it so special.

Ross was once married to actress Helen Charlotte Way, known as Charley, in 1999. They divorced in 2006 and did not have any children together.

Ross later married Brianna Deutsch in 2015 before the pair quietly split in 2022.

The interviewer then asked if he’d ever consider getting married again. He replied with a cautious optimism, saying, “You never know what the future holds.” He added that he strongly believes in love, especially considering he’s been married twice before, implying he hasn’t ruled it out completely.

I’m not sure if I’m naturally unskilled at this, or if I just haven’t reached my potential yet. It’s a matter of perspective – you could see it as a positive or a negative. But ultimately, I truly believe in the power of love.

I’m incredibly lucky to have Bridget in my life. She’s amazing in every way, and I feel very fortunate to be with her.

He was asked about the length of their relationship and replied, ‘Almost three years. We feel very lucky to have each other.’

Ross didn’t win Saturday night’s Strictly competition, but he still received a respectable 10 out of a possible 40 points.

He publicly thanked his girlfriend after his performance for traveling to see him perform.

He said: ‘It’s so lovely that my girlfriend Bridget flew over 5,000 miles to come watch.

‘I said to her, ‘You have to come because there might not be many of these’.’

The cameras showed Bridget looking beautiful in a black, strapless dress, standing with his sister, Elaine.

Ross, who is originally from Scotland, now lives in Los Angeles.

He initially moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to work as a showbiz reporter for GMTV, a job he held for ten years until 2010.

He began working as a presenter, landing a job as a weather forecaster for KTLA after winning a competition against 5,000 other applicants.

The TV star then appeared in several movies, starting with “The Day After Tomorrow.” He went on to act in films like “Half Past Dead,” “Cruel Game,” “Do It For Uncle Manny,” “Trust Me,” “Young Hercules,” and “Who’s Your Caddy.”

Beyond his work, Ross married actress Charley (Helen Charlotte Way) in 1999. The couple divorced in 2006 and did not have any children.

She’s a well-known performer, having appeared in productions like Chicago, The Producers, and Controlled Chaos, both in London’s West End and on Broadway.

Ross married Brianna Deutsch in 2015. The wedding was attended by several of his celebrity friends, including Gerard Butler, Patsy Palmer, Jackie Collins, and Gary Barlow.

Take That star Gary was also enlisted to perform at their glitzy nuptials.

After seven years together, the couple separated quietly in 2022, but they reportedly stayed friends.

According to a source, the two have stayed friendly and continue to move in the same social circles, but they simply grew apart romantically.

‘Ross loves living in Hollywood and has been throwing himself into work and writing novels.’

The Daily Mail contacted a representative for Ross at the time.

Ross recently discussed his relationship with Brianna, who is 22 years younger than him. He told the Daily Record that he thinks she’s very attractive and feels lucky to be with her.

We’ve never had problems with our age difference. I’m also eager to start a family, and I’m not concerned about being an older father. Family is very important to me.

I still miss my mum and sister back in Scotland and visit whenever I can. But every day, I wake up in my house in the hills and see the Hollywood sign right in front of me.

It still feels incredible to me. I grew up in Knightswood, Glasgow, and sometimes it feels like a dream come true.

In 2023, Ross ran into his ex-wife Charley at a Bafta event – the Annual Burns Bash – held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Los Angeles.

The ITV Hollywood correspondent appeared friendly and cheerful with the actress, and the two posed for a photo together at the event, despite being former partners.
