Strictly Come Dancing viewers were surprised and impressed when Ross King brought his new girlfriend to the show for the first time.
The 63-year-old entertainment reporter kicked off his time on the BBC dance competition Saturday night, performing the cha-cha-cha with his professional partner, Jowita, to Katy Perry’s “California Gurls.”
While he didn’t top the leaderboard, Ross earned a total of 10 points out of 40.
He publicly thanked his girlfriend after his performance for traveling to see him perform.
He said: ‘It’s so lovely that my girlfriend Bridget flew over 5,000 miles to come watch.
‘I said to her, ‘You have to come because there might not be many of these.”


The cameras showed Bridget looking beautiful in a black, strapless dress, standing with his sister, Elaine.
Fans were quick to react on X (formerly Twitter), sharing their surprise at his glam girlfriend.
