On social media, Roseanne Barr playfully criticized Howard Stern following the joke about his radio show being cancelled.
In a recent interaction, the divisive comedian, now 72 years old, expressed her personal viewpoint concerning the host of a radio show named after him, in response to a comment made by a fan on X (previously known as Twitter).
She asserted that Stern, aged 71, was ‘never good’ and labeled him as a ‘fawning coward’ following their conversation on his radio program regarding an unusual meme she shared about him.
‘Howard Stern still having a hard time realizing he is a p***y now,’ she tweeted.
Perhaps someday, before he officially steps down, he might reflect on his past actions and understand where he erred by supporting fascist ideologies and promoting cancel culture.
Previously popular talk show host, after admitting to a controversial racist tweet that led to her career’s end, additionally commented that she once stood for unbridled expression but now appears to be a promoter of someone else’s agenda.

Her critical tweets are a response to Stern stating on his program that he “wasn’t aware I had made it onto her list.
According to Stern, Barr shared a humorous yet eccentric image on social media featuring both himself and Stephen Colbert donning bikinis, which circulated at a time when speculation about the cancellation of Stern’s radio show was rampant.
In the manipulated image, it appeared that he was donning a swimming costume and striking a pose next to Colbert, who later lost his late-night TV program in July.
On his radio program, Stern chuckled at the meme and labeled Barr as ‘quite peculiar’ and ‘devoid of brains,’ which led to an uproar among her supporters and Barr herself.
Afterward, he criticized Barr once more about the misleading bikini picture, questioning her sanity by saying she had lost her mind. He turned to his fellow host and inquired, “What has happened to her? She seems to have completely lost it, right? I mean, what’s her story?
Through her Twitter responses, Barr acknowledged that Stern’s radio show legacy is unparalleled, yet implied that there might be some changes in him.
On Tuesday evening, she posted: “It’s only right to say that Howard Stern is the best of the best in radio. He’s essentially the Mount Rushmore of radio personalities.
Subsequently, she remarked, “However, he’s become quite submissive now. They managed to influence him. But no one can ever sway me like that.
‘If he wants to grow a pair and put the cats down one day he always will have a seat at my table.’
Barr’s angry outburst on Twitter occurred a few days following Stern’s comments about the rumors circulating regarding the potential cancellation of The Howard Stern Show. One speculative theory, deemed unsavory by some fans, suggested that Stern was retiring due to the loss of his cats or being dismissed for being overly politically correct.

Previously reported by The U.S. Sun, speculation arose that SiriusXM might choose to discontinue The Howard Stern Show when Howard Stern’s five-year, $500 million contract concludes at the end of 2025.
However, Stern refuted the rumors following a playful tease where he falsely announced Andy Cohen as the host for Monday’s episode, initially leading fans to believe it was true.
The first episode of the Howard 100 show, hosted by Stern, started off with a frazzled Cohen declaring that from now on, the show will be known as Andy 100.
Cohen informed listeners that they were anticipating a major revelation from Howard, but unfortunately, events didn’t unfold as planned. He admitted that this situation felt more improvised, implying that he wasn’t fully prepared.
As a devoted admirer, I found this particular morning to be remarkably surreal upon learning about the departure of Cohen, now 57 years old. His words resonated deeply when he expressed feeling unable to fill the void left by his departure. However, I have faith that Stern will swiftly secure another radio opportunity, given his remarkable talent and widespread recognition in the industry.
Approximately twenty minutes into the broadcast, Stern graciously acknowledged Cohen’s involvement in the joke.
The speculation that Stern was dismissed from SiriusXM increased significantly following last week, after he delayed his radio comeback from a summer break.
After last week, there was growing speculation that Stern had been let go from SiriusXM due to the postponement of his radio return from a summer break.
‘I’m going to have to fill everyone in,’ Stern said as he joined Monday morning’s broadcast.
He clarified to his audience that he had to skip the previous week’s program because he was unwell, not because he was engaged in contract talks.

He mentioned that everyone kept inquiring if he was alright since he had lost his job, and it was really starting to irritate him.
Strongly remembering, he found himself peacefully savoring his summer break, when suddenly a journalist accused him of getting fired due to being overly conscious about social issues.
In simpler terms, ‘Stern said to his audience that none of the information is authentic and there’s no truth in it. What angers him is that he’s now unable to resign because he had plans to retire. Unfortunately, this situation prevents him from doing so.’
The Howard 100 host added that he is ‘very happy at Sirius’.
In 2006, Stern began working with Sirius XM Radio (as it was known then). He quickly rose to be one of the best-compensated figures in broadcasting, and his influence transformed not only the company but also the entire radio industry.
However, it’s worth noting that SiriusXM has been experiencing a gradual decrease in its subscriber base. In Q2 2025, they reported having 33 million paying customers, marking a decline of 68,000 from the previous quarter and a decrease of 100,000 compared to the same period in 2024.
It’s facing intense competition in the crowded satellite market, particularly from streaming services like Spotify that offer their content for free with ads.
In 2010 and more recently in 2020, Stern’s contract with SiriusXM was extended, securing a five-year agreement worth $500 million, according to Forbes. Notably, he has conducted candid and high-profile interviews with Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen in recent times.
In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter in 2024, Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM, stated that the individual has been part of our team for nearly two decades, resulting in his contentment, but also possesses the unique ability, similar to many outstanding artists, to decide whenever he wishes to take a break.

‘Nobody will ever replace them. We would never try to replace them.’
In the ’80s, Howard Stern, often referred to as the “King of All Media,” gained nationwide recognition during his two-decade tenure at the New York radio station WXRK.
At its peak, The Howard Stern Show was syndicated in 60 markets and drew over 20 million listeners.
Stern moved towards satellite radio, drawn by its attractive financial rewards and freedom from censorship, after facing tough controversies over decency issues with the Federal Communications Commission and hesitant traditional radio bosses.
Previously, his broadcast segments featured him bringing strippers into his New York workspace and successfully coaxing the group formerly known as The Dixie Chicks to disclose personal aspects of their sexual encounters.
1997’s movie “Private Parts” was a blockbuster success and presented an uncensored, comedic perspective on his journey to stardom.
Apart from this, he has written numerous successful books and judged contestants on America’s Got Talent from the years 2012 through 2015.
