Following their initial statement, city officials confirmed to Spanish news outlets that Rosalía and her team did not seek permission to launch her album in central Madrid.

It wasn’t immediately known if the city council would punish the singer, or how much any penalty might be.

According to the Spanish news outlet El Confidential, the potential fine for Rosalía could be as high as €600,000 (£520,000). However, sources at city hall suggest any disciplinary action would likely result in a less severe penalty.
