Ronnie O’Sullivan and Laila Rouass Couple finally tie the knot 10 months after split in low-key town hall ceremony in Shadwell
10 months following the ups and downs of their relationship, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Laila Rouass officially tied the knot.
The pair officially tied the knot in a low-key London ceremony after 13years together.
On Instagram, the actress from Footballers’ Wives posted a picture showing her alongside a snooker player, both grinning outside St George’s Town Hall in Shadwell, East London, surrounded by colorful paper scraps (confetti).
Laila, aged 54 with a mixed heritage of Moroccan and Indian descent, wrote, ‘The Palestinians have taught me valuable lessons, chief among them: cherish human bonds, let love guide you, and continuously nurture it. Thus, I suppose this was an approach to rejuvenate these connections after a nearly year-long hiatus.’
Ok… so it wasn’t Venice…that was fully booked.
I hail from Cable Street, located in Shadwell – a place that holds deep affection for me. In 1936, this very street witnessed an extraordinary event as local activists, united with the Jewish community, organized a protest against the intended march of the British Union of Fascists (BUF).

My father often cited the Battle of Cable Street as a demonstration of how a community grounded in fairness can instigate change…and that it’s our responsibility to stand up for the liberty and rights of others.
As a passionate devotee, I can’t help but declare my deep affection for the East End – a place where immigrants have found their home and made their mark. Its dynamic energy, rich tapestry of cultures, and strong working-class heritage resonate deeply within me. The East End is not just a geographical location; it’s where I was born, where I was educated, where I exchanged vows, and where I will return to rest, for my roots run deep there, and they are an integral part of who I am.

Initially, it was TV host Lisa Snowdon who extended her well wishes to the newlywed couple, expressing, ‘What a lovely moment! Congratulations!’
Followed by former Loose Women panellist, Saira Khan, stated, ‘Huge congratulations sister x’
The seven-time World Snooker Champion hasn’t walked down the aisle before, but he married Laila Rouass back in 1990 (named Abdeslam Rouass).
The couple divorced in 2003, and he was later jailed for fraud.
As per The Sun’s latest report, Ronnie and Laila are aiming for a fresh start by leaving the United Kingdom behind and starting anew in Dubai, with the hope of beginning a ‘fresh chapter’ there.
It’s further reported that Ronnie, aged 49, might be moving out of his £2 million property in Chigwell, Essex, and intends to settle down in the UAE alongside Laila.
A source claimed Ronnie and Laila have been back together ‘for a while.’
They additionally noted, ‘Being separated provided them with the opportunity to reflect on their desires and priorities, which ultimately led them to value spending time together.’
In December, it was verified that the actress from Footballer’s Wives announced their permanent separation.
It was revealed earlier this month that not only have they rekindled their relationship, but they are also considering moving to Dubai and establishing a new life there instead of staying in the U.K.
It’s said that Ronnie is planning to sell his £2 million house located in Chigwell, Essex, and intends to move to the UAE along with Laila.
Ronnie is relocating to the Middle East, and Laila will accompany him. They’ve discussed residing in Dubai, which is merely a two-hour flight away from Ronnie’s snooker academy located in Saudi Arabia.
Ronnie and Laila experienced difficulties in the past, however, they managed to overcome them, and now they appear genuinely content once more.
In December, Laila initially chose not to discuss her separation from Ronnie publicly, sharing with The Mirror, “For now, I will hold off on speaking about it until there’s more to share.
Previously, the actress publicly addressed various matters on Instagram following her separation from the renowned snooker player, marking her initial comments on the subject last year.
She penned, “Break-ups can expose the core of who you are.” She found solace in transforming her pain into motivation to regain control, acknowledging that every relationship inevitably causes us to shed some aspects of ourselves. It’s a regular part of the process, so there’s no need for self-criticism.
One important realization for me is avoiding the attempt to return to my previous state. Instead, I am exploring who I have evolved into. I’ve experienced a range of feelings, from sorrow and agony to fury, but what I’ve come to understand about anger is that it’s boundless.
After listing their £2 million Epping Forest property for sale, Laila made her remarks. The photos reveal the opulent interior, featuring a notable portrait of Raquel Welch on a cross that hung on the stairway’s wall, a favorite piece of Ronnie.

Despite the sophisticated white carpets and luxurious furnishings, O’Sullivan found it impossible to convince his former partner to set up a snooker table, as shared by friends with Mail Online.
Or:
Even with the smart white carpeting and plush decorations, O’Sullivan struggled to persuade his ex-partner to install a snooker table, according to friends who spoke to Mail Online.
One friend mentioned that they enjoyed quite a few joyful years there, as Ronnie thrived in snooker and Laila starred in popular TV shows such as Footballers Wives and Life Isn’t Just Laughs.
As a lifestyle consultant, I can share that my partner and I have mutually decided to sell our home jointly. We’ve hammered out the details, ensuring a smooth financial transaction. I, myself, have recently found a new abode, complete with a brand-new snooker table – perfect for unwinding!
The first hint of trouble resurfaced in their much-discussed off-and-on relationship in September, yet only a few days later, Ronnie was spotted taking out the trash in his Y-front underwear and slippers at the shared home in Essex – a sign that all might not be well.
After those days, it’s generally assumed that the relationship between them has ended, as they were seen together in photos on several occasions since then.
Laila carries on residing in the grand estate, where she’s adorned a Christmas tree in the front window, twinkling with lights. Every day, she enjoys strolling her two pets through the neighboring forest.
In 2011, her connection with Ronnie grew stronger when the famous snooker player phoned her about his home for sale, which he had just listed. She then received a guided tour of the property from Ronnie O’Sullivan Sr.
They went on to have a relationship that lasted more than a decade and had planned to wed.
Previously, Laila mentioned that their initial encounter was quite serendipitous.
As a trusted lifestyle guide, I had the pleasure of being introduced to Ronnie’s home, graciously escorted by his father who shared stories of our past encounters. Later, Ronnie reached out to the real estate agent, a cherished acquaintance of mine, for a rendezvous arranged through her.
When he told me he was a snooker player, I replied, “Oh, that’s interesting, but what is his occupation?” I didn’t recognize the name because sports hold no appeal for me, though Ronnie O’Sullivan has managed to pique my interest in snooker.
They confirmed their whirlwind romance by getting engaged in the following year.
Regarding their prolonged engagement, Laila, with a seven-year-old daughter named Inez from a past relationship, shared with The Mirror in 2019 that she would need to psych herself up significantly for the wedding.
‘At the moment we’ve put it on the back burner and we’re enjoying our time so there’s no rush.’
But the couple split up after a decade together with Laila making the announcement to shocked fans.
In February 2022, she posted on Instagram, “Ronnie and I have ended our relationship after about ten years filled with love and memories.” She expressed her well-wishes for peace and love to everyone. Laila X.
Yet, the separation didn’t persist for too long, as by April, Laila was observed wearing her engagement ring once more.
The following month, the pair confirmed their reconciliation, before jetting off on holiday.
The actress said last year that open communication brought them back together after their split.

Laila stated: “We managed to return, figuring things out as we went along. When I initially shared the news, it had been nearly eight months since we last were together.
Communicating openly, particularly as we grow older, is often underestimated. It’s simpler to express feelings and desires in a direct conversation rather than trying to convey them indirectly.
However, this time there doesn’t seem to be a way back for them.
Last week, the actress who starred in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2009 shared an uplifting perspective on life with her 68,000 Instagram followers, marking her initial extensive post since becoming single.
She wrote: “I’ve returned to Instagram after a necessary break, and I’m just easing myself in. The past few months have been quite challenging.
Laila went on saying, “Taking a step back has been quite extraordinary, and I believe this is mainly due to the renewed sense of faith I’ve discovered.
I’m not only referring to a religious faith here, but also personal experiences that demonstrate the power of faith and its presence in my life, which I haven’t fully recognized until now.
From my perspective as a lifestyle guide, I’ve been continually amazed by the immense power and effectiveness of faith. It towers above me in its grandeur and scope, leaving an indelible impact on my life and those around me.
You may refer to it as God, Allah, Buddha, nature, energy, or frequency; the label isn’t important. What truly counts is the sense of perspective and tranquility it provides for you.
I’ve come to understand that faith has a far greater influence than I previously thought, and this realization was truly enlightening for me. It’s had a deeply impactful effect on me.
‘I feel so much lighter and I feel as if my heart has really, truly and fully opened.
I’ve been adopting a receptive and hopeful attitude, believing that everything will fall into place. I trust that life will be fulfilling, so it’s important to appreciate the moments, for even though life can be wonderful, it can also be unpredictable.
‘Truly understanding faith has given me so much freedom to make choices that are not always safe.
She added: “It feels freeing to discard unnecessary negativity and any person or thing that robs happiness from me.
I thought you might like to know that I’m starting a new phase in my life, and it’s incredibly thrilling! It’s exciting because I no longer feel like I’m going through this alone.
My faith is a constant companion, guiding me with the wisdom that life is immeasurably enriched through honesty and trust.
‘If I could offer you one gift today it would be the gift of Faith.’
