Ronda Rousey issues apology for Sandy Hook conspiracy 11 years later

As a gamer with a keen interest in sports and pop culture, I find myself reflecting on Ronda Rousey‘s recent apology for her past actions. Having grown up during the time when social media was still relatively new and the lines between truth and conspiracy theories were often blurred, I can understand why she might have been swayed by such content. However, as a person who values facts over speculation, I believe it’s important to exercise caution when sharing information without thorough verification.

11 years back, ex-UFC champion Ronda Rousey has expressed regret on her Twitter account for an action she took. This apology was prompted by a wave of inquiries from fans during a Reddit AMA session, following the resurgence of a conspiracy video she had previously shared.

Initially, Rousey posted a video that implied the shooting at schools was orchestrated by the government to increase opposition towards guns. She labeled the retweet as “extremely interesting, must watch video.” Later, she removed it and wrote, “I believe questioning things and conducting research is more patriotic than simply accepting what one is told.”

At that time, Rousey’s manager, Darin Harvey, also commented on the tweets, expressing to MMA Junkie that Ronda is someone who doesn’t blindly accept everything as true and isn’t fully confident in all news spread by mainstream media outlets.

Now following the resurgence of anger shown in the AMA, she’s issued a lengthy apology.

In case some may not recall, on December 14, 2012, a 20-year-old named Adam Lanza fatally shot 26 individuals. Among the victims were 20 young ones aged between six and seven. Had they lived, these children would be embarking on their freshman year in college this academic year.
