As I delve into the world of the illustrious Beckham family, I find myself awestruck by their competitive spirit and playful banter, reminiscent of a well-loved sitcom where laughter and love are the common threads that bind them all together.

David Beckham is known as a football legend, yet it was his son Romeo who outplayed him in a round of padel.

21-year-old Romeo posted on Instagram on Wednesday, boasting about his triumph, by publishing a picture that featured a laughing David in the background, signifying his defeat.

During a match, the striker of Brentwood FC gestured an “L” with his hand to indicate that his father was not successful, while David, aged 49, dressed in an orange tank top and white Adidas shorts, responded by shaking his head and laughing.

The pair took on Argentinian tennis star Deigo Schwartzman for the game of padel in the sunshine.

Padel is a game resembling tennis that’s enjoyed by two players on compact, enclosed courts, and it gained popularity in Mexico during the 1960s.

Undeniably, that challenging game suited perfectly the tennis champion who faced off against both David and Romeo on court.

The trio took to their Instagram to share the results of the gruelling matches.

Proudly celebrating his win against his father, David and Victoria Beckham’s second child posted: “There’s no feeling quite like defeating your old man,” accompanied by a triumphant fist bump and a grinning emoticon, with a nod to his father who is also a footballer.

However, the ex-England player appeared unfazed by his defeat, instead reposting a photo of Romeo and writing a playful caption saying, “Even had to let you win one match.”

David also posted another snap of the sporty trio outside the padel court.

Over the photo he wrote: ‘Fun Padel game against @dieschwartzman & @romeobeckham

‘Dad WON sorry guys England Win’.

In this picture, David is seen wearing a green Adidas tank top and a white hat, with a big smile on his face, and Romeo can be spotted peeking around him from behind.

Diego went topless for the photo and looked red-faced after a day of playing.

The Argentinian player, 31, also took to his Instagram to share his fun day with fans.

He posted a selfie for his 715,000 followers alongside Romeo as the two caught their breath in the shade.

Romeo was spotted wearing a backwards Nike cap and matching white tank top as he showed off his tattoo – looking the spitting image of his father.

Apart from participating in their feud, he also chimed in by commenting on David’s photo, saying “Revenge is on its way!” with a couple of laughter emojis added to his message.

The Beckhams are a notoriously competitive family and regularly document their pranks and contests.

In the year 2022, Victoria and David engaged in a gingerbread house making contest against each other, joined by their daughter Harper.

As a devoted enthusiast, I joined the spirited duo, both aged 50, in embracing the holiday cheer by engaging in a playful culinary contest, reminiscent of a friendly football match, right in the heart of our kitchen during the festive season.

Posting a video on her Instagram Story, Victoria humorously confessed that her family is quite competitive. She playfully urged followers to prepare themselves for less-than-perfect outcomes.

In a chat with the camera, she shared: “Today, it’s us, David and Harper, attempting to build some gingerbread houses – we’re not exactly culinary whizzes.”

Victoria displayed David’s advancements while unwrapping chocolates and indulging in various candies scattered across the table.

‘Mine’s simple, simplicity wins, every time,’ the sportsman explained.

Victoria stated: ‘I’m extremely certain that my work will surpass David’s, and I believe Harper’s will outshine both of our efforts. I’m not just a little confident; I’m very confident.’

After that, she proudly displayed the completed projects, giving her audience the power to decide, as David’s home seemed quite ordinary compared to the others.

Last week, Victoria found herself blushing following a funny prank pulled off by her family during a TikTok session.

Previously known Spice Girl, along with her husband David, sons Romeo and Harper, and a companion, took part in their rendition of the popular “Just Give Me My Money” challenge on various social media platforms.

In the TikTok video, you’ll observe a collective moving sequentially to express their eagerness with animated gestures, repeatedly saying “I want my cash!” or something along those lines.

Following every individual’s presentation, they are acknowledged with a series of clapping hands and cheers.

Subsequently, once the final speaker finishes, the rest intentionally fall quiet, exchanging uncomfortable looks among themselves. In this instance, it was Victoria who found herself uninformed.

As a devoted son, I felt compelled to express my apologies to you, dear mother, and so, I penned down: “Sorry mum” accompanied by a string of laughter-filled emojis.
