Rogue Flight Update Adds Much-Requested ‘Infinite Continues’ Feature
As a seasoned gamer with decades of space combat under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest update for Rogue Flight has taken this game to new heights. The addition of infinite continues is a game-changer, allowing me to keep flying even after the inevitable brushes with death that come with high-stakes space battles.
Developer Truant Pixel has released another new update for Rogue Flight, following the addition of the intense high-score driven ‘Caravan Mode’ to the 3D anime-inspired space shooter earlier this month.
As a gamer myself, I’m thrilled about the latest update that now includes the long-awaited feature: the infinite continue option. This is perfect for those, like me, who prefer a more modern gaming experience. In other words, if I happen to exhaust all my lives during a playthrough, instead of returning to square one (Stage 1), I can pick up from where I left off within the current stage. However, if the infinite continue function isn’t active, I’ll be back at the starting line (Stage 1).
Furthermore, new scenes showcasing Nadia’s adventure through the void have been incorporated, along with enhancements to every battle with the game’s bosses (WingTrail is now stronger at hitting weak spots). Also, damaging a boss’s thrusters or engines will trigger “jetwash disruptions,” providing players with extra maneuverability without any penalty.
The latest update introduces more details that emphasize roguelike features, revised end credits for NewGame+, an alternate final fight and music for Roguflite+ mode. There are also cinematic enhancements, adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. A bugfix has been implemented for ‘late hits’ from the AirSpike enemy in Stage 2, and a new bonus livery with color variations is now available. This update brings all these changes.
The new patch for Rogue Flight is out now for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (it’s coming to Switch at a later date).
