As a die-hard child of the ’80s and ’90s who grew up with my nose buried in manga and arcade games, the news about Rogue Flight has sent me soaring with excitement! The trailer harkens back to those halcyon days when I was glued to my seat at the local arcade, my fingers dancing on the joystick as I battled through wave after wave of interstellar adversaries.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that Perp Games and Truant Pixel have announced the imminent launch of Rogue Flight – an exhilarating old-school arcade space shooter! To mark this momentous occasion, they’ve released a fresh trailer for our viewing pleasure. Here it is below!
In this game, Rogue Flight, you can unlock the ‘Retro Mode’ setting by completing it. The design of the game is influenced by 80s and 90s “prestige” anime, taking you on a journey across the Sol system. You will enhance your spaceship and choose from various storylines as you progress.
In the Solar Defense Force, you’ll be tasked with safeguarding humanity’s remaining strongholds from the air in your spacecraft, obliterating the malevolent ARGUS and bringing tranquility to nine distinct stages. Additionally, you’ll find Retro Mode, which converts graphics into pixel art and replaces music with PCM audio, alongside other bonus features that can be unlocked, as well as varying levels of difficulty.
The action-packed game “Rogue Flight” will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers starting 25th October. You can watch the most recent previews in the videos below.
