As I delve into this heartwarming tale of Penny and Rod, I can’t help but be moved by their resilience and dedication to each other. Their story is a testament to the power of love and commitment, especially considering they made a pact to never spend more than 10 days apart even during their early years when distance threatened to keep them apart.

Rod Stewart firmly asserts that he and his wife, Penny Lancaster, have no discord whatsoever, and their affection for each other remains incredibly strong.

The couple found themselves intensely trying to salvage their 17-year old marriage following unexpected developments: the musician had decided against selling his $74 million property in Beverly Hills, opting instead to remain there, rather than relocating back to the UK as they’d originally planned.

The well-known British rock musician, aged 79, seemed hesitant about leaving Los Angeles, whereas Penny, at 53, expressed reluctance to remain in the United States despite Rod extending his Las Vegas residency and turning down two offers on their expansive estate.

Through a post on Instagram, he clarified: “Contrary to some rumors, there’s no conflict between Penny and me regarding our living arrangements. In reality, we are in full agreement on this matter.”

A year ago, we made the permanent return to our cherished United Kingdom, yet we’re blessed with additional homes in various countries that we delight in visiting.

Rod added: ‘At first, it seemed logical to sell our home in Los Angeles. However, after enjoying a fantastic summer with family and friends while I was on my Vegas residency, we decided it’s wiser to hold onto the house there. Two of my older children still reside in our LA residence, known as Celtic House.’

After an incredible 27 years, Penny and I are more deeply in love than ever. You can count on my word when I say that our marriage is free of discord. Indeed, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be Rod Stewart’s partner.

It was reported by DailyMail.com on Wednesday that the couple find themselves in a standoff. Rod is adamant about not leaving Los Angeles, while Penny has decided against staying after Rod extended his Las Vegas residency and turned down two offers for their expansive nine-bedroom home about a month ago.

According to a reliable source, Rod adores living in Los Angeles but frequently travels between there and Las Vegas for his performances. He cherishes the opportunity to spend meaningful moments with his grandkids and often invites his closest friends over for a lavish Sunday dinner at home.

In June 2023, Rod publicly announced his intention to move back to his homeland, the UK, as he put up his expansive Beverly Hills property – encompassing a three-tier guest house, pool, and a substantial soccer field – on sale for approximately $70 million.

Initially, he increased the proposed selling price to $80 million in December. However, in February, he reduced it by $6 million, resulting in an asking price of $74 million.

However, the rocker chose to withdraw the property from sale, which left Penny, a frequent guest on the UK panel show Loose Women, an auxiliary police officer for the City of London Police, and someone who regards the British countryside as home, feeling frustrated.

According to the source, Penny doesn’t intend to go back to Los Angeles, a place she’s not particularly fond of, and Rod also doesn’t plan to relocate at this moment in time.

They find themselves in an impasse, and Penny is frustrated because Rod broke his promise. At the moment, they are focusing on salvaging their marriage.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Stewart and Lancaster for comment.

In 1991, Rod, who had resided in Los Angeles since 1975, purchased a plot of land for $12 million and enlisted renowned California architect Richard Landry to construct his grand, yellow mansion on it.

This property features twelve bathrooms, a large formal dining area suitable for more than twenty diners, a secret bar (speakeasy), a cinema, a library adorned with wooden panels, a wine cellar, two fitness centers, a kitchen equipped for chefs and designed for eating-in, a tea room, and it currently accommodates a 1,500 square foot model railway.

He affirmed that he would be back in the United Kingdom in June, mentioning his children’s education as a key reason for the move.

He shared with Chris Evans on Virgin Radio that the likelihood of him parting with it is virtually nonexistent, as he cherishes it deeply. Unless someone offers a suitable price, he has no intention of letting go of it.

As a devoted admirer, I hold a special place in my heart for Los Angeles and have been warmly welcomed by the American populace. Nevertheless, the moment has come for me to bid farewell. My two sons, aged 17 and 12, are immersed in their educational journey within the UK.

The Grammy-winner planned to make his palatial Essex estate, known as Durrington House, his permanent residence. He and Lancaster purchased the 10-bedroom, 18th century property back in 2016.

In 1999, Penny, a former swimsuit model, encountered the lead singer when she was performing with his band, at a time when he was still married to Rachel Hunter.

2006 marked the end of my union with Rachel, following our separation that year. Prior to her, I was wedded to Alana Stewart.

As a devoted follower, I am proud to share that the chart-topper I follow has a family of eight, comprising five remarkable women and three talented men. Sarah Streeter, age 59, Kimberly, 43, Ruby, 35, Renee, 30, and the youngest, myself at 28, are the daughters. The sons in our brood are Sean, aged 42, Liam, also 42 (although he may look younger), Alastair, and Aiden. Each one of them is a unique gem in our family’s treasure chest.

He also has three grandchildren, Delilah, 12, and Otis and Louie, both one.

For close to twenty years, Penny has openly discussed her marital life with Stewart and the strategies they employ to keep their relationship thriving.

But she recently alluded to ‘family issues’ while discussing the rift between the royal family and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on Loose Women.

When asked about attempting to resolve everything, Lancaster responded: “Personally, I don’t have a preference – you understand, am I fond of Harry, do I agree with this or that?”

I’m considering the overall situation primarily regarding our family. Every now and then, families encounter their own challenges.

It seems we might have a chance to repair some relationships, given the numerous health issues that have affected our family.

It comes as Penny and Rod once made a pact to ‘never spend more than 10 days apart.’

Back in 2017, during a rediscovered conversation on Loose Women, I, as an ardent admirer, found myself nodding in agreement when Penny shared her wisdom about long-distance relationships. She even disclosed a heartwarming promise she and her husband made years ago – to always keep the distance between them at a minimum.

On the ITV programme, she clarified: ‘He’s not planning to retire any time in the near future, as he continues to put in a lot of effort.’

Penny went on to say, “During the initial phase of our relationship, he was in America while I was in the UK, attending college. This meant we spent a year apart due to our geographical separation.”

If this plan proves successful, it will establish a robust base for us, providing us with a solid advantage for future endeavors.

Currently, due to our children being in school and Rod being employed, we’ve agreed to limit our time apart to no more than ten days at a stretch. Our longest separation lasted for two weeks, which left us feeling that it was excessive and unmanageable for us.

In 2015, during an appearance on Loose Women, Penny shared that her encounter with him started when a friend challenged her to approach him for an autograph at a concert.

She mentioned that the following day, she received an invite to capture his performance during a concert, given that she was attending college at that moment.

Rod explained: ‘I got her phone number and I gave it to my bass player, but he kept it for six months, I’d just gone through a break up and he said I wasn’t ready yet.’

‘I did call her six months later.’

Penny went on to say, “What struck me was that when I took his photo, I thought he was doing it out of kindness. Six months later, he contacted me again and said, ‘I really want to see the pictures you took.'”
