Rod Stewart goes Rocker, 80, gives an explicit twist to his Maggie May lyrics as he downs spirits during VERY cheeky Las Vegas performance

Rod Stewart had a lively night out in Las Vegas on Saturday, celebrating the anniversary of his whisky brand at a fancy club.

Rod had a lively night and playfully changed the lyrics to his song “Maggie May” to make the audience laugh, especially after enjoying a few drinks.

After performing at The Colosseum Theater, he went for a walk to Caspian’s Rock & Roe inside Caesars Palace Hotel.

The 80-year-old performer altered the lyrics to a well-known song from 1971, singing a sexually explicit version of the original.

I’ll bring you upstairs and explain everything. I’m attracted to you, Maggie, and want to have sex with you.

During his performance, backed by the band from his successful Colosseum shows, Sir Rod Stewart playfully altered the lyrics to his song “Have I Told You Lately,” jokingly singing, “Can I be a man, not 21? I found a guitar and I stuck it in my bum.”

The playful Faces frontman dueted with Vegas act RadioXx on Have I Told You Lately.

When lead singer Toby Rand sang the line ‘Have I Told You Lately I Love You,’ Rod playfully responded with a smiling ‘No, you haven’t!’

He celebrated the second anniversary of his Wolfie’s Whisky brand with a lively performance of songs like Maggie May, Have I Told You Lately, and Ooh LaLa at Caspian’s Cocktails & Caviar in Caesars Palace.

He playfully stuck his nose into a cake shaped like a Wolfie’s bottle, then took a bite. Rod seemed to enjoy the taste, and he smiled at the excited crowd.

The celebrity, looking stylish in an orange jacket and a vibrant 70s-inspired shirt, spent time talking with friends, fellow musicians, and a small group of people inside the exclusive, hidden bar.

Rod sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Wolfies, wished everyone God’s blessings, and thanked the audience before enjoying a large cocktail.

I was absolutely thrilled to see the legend – a two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer – continuing the celebration after his incredible shows at Caesars! He really knows how to treat his fans, keeping the party going in his own special VIP space from May 27th to June 6th next year. It was an unforgettable experience!

When “500 Miles” by The Proclaimers started playing at the club, he jumped up and danced with excitement. He then went to greet his fans, posing for selfies and signing autographs, all while being protected by a group of security guards.

A Celtic supporter stood up and danced to Radio Xx’s renditions of songs by Eminem, Tears For Fears, and even a rock-style version of the Backstreet Boys’ hit song.

Even as he was leaving after an energetic ninety-minute performance, he took the time to dance to a rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and take pictures with fans.

Guarded by enormous bouncers, one guard joked: ‘What a guy, that whisky is damn good stuff.’

The duo offered samples of their special liquor to guests, and the famous singer enjoyed a few drinks themselves throughout the evening.

The cocktail menu features drinks inspired by Rod Stewart’s most famous songs. For example, ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy’ is a sweet and zesty blend of orange, lime, and honey, while ‘Forever Young’ offers a strong, bittersweet flavor with vermouth, Campari, and cherry. There’s also a selection called Wolfie’s & Tonics.

Honestly, seeing Rod Stewart perform just cemented everything for me. If anyone ever questioned whether he’s a true rock icon, they didn’t need to after that show – it was all the proof you could ask for!

You know, I was completely blown away watching him! He was truly in his element – soaking up the music, laughing with his friends and band, and just letting loose. It was fantastic to see him really enjoying himself, dancing and singing along – he was having the time of his life, and it was infectious!

‘Rod seemed so relaxed and it was hilarious when he changed the words to his songs on stage.

‘He has always made a point of saying he is one of the people and he showed it Caspian’s

‘He was on party night with friends and being famous didn’t stop him.

‘Rod clearly not just believes in the whisky, but loves drinking it.

You know, even when I’m trying to have a little personal time, I always make sure to connect with the people who support me. It means the world to me to take a few minutes for a selfie, sign an autograph, or even just give a hug to someone who came out to show their support. It’s a small gesture, but it makes a big difference!

He was genuinely a really approachable and friendly person, happily taking photos and signing autographs even while having fun with his friends.

Rod considers Las Vegas his favorite place to perform and recently shared that he’ll be celebrating 15 years at The Colosseum next year. He says he still feels thrilled every time he returns to the theater, as he truly loves the venue.

‘So come along and we’ll forget the world outside for a couple of hours at The Encore shows!’

A performance at Glastonbury Festival, where he shared the stage with music legends like Ronnie Wood, Lulu, and Mick Hucknall, and a continued residency in Las Vegas with his favorite whisky, were definite highlights of his year.

His One Last Time tour has been highly praised by critics around the world. He’s clarified that while the tour focuses on his rock classics, it isn’t his final tour, but rather a celebration of that specific era of his music.

Rod Stewart has delivered over 200 shows at The Colosseum since 2011.

In 2023, he co-founded Wolfie’s Whisky with Duncan Frew. Wolfie’s is a 40% ABV blended Scotch whisky that has already won awards.
