Rocket League Update v2.47 provides relief for XBox players

As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours mastering the art of car soccer, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and relief with the latest Rocket League update 2.47. The removal of Beckwith Park (Snowy) from rotation might seem like a loss at first, but the fix for its persistent visibility issues is music to my eyes. I’ve often found myself squinting and cursing at that map more times than I care to remember!

Beckwith Park (Snowy), which has been experiencing recurring problems with its map’s visibility, has been temporarily removed from service for necessary repairs.

Today, the Rocket League has rolled out its penultimate update for the year, version 2.47. This latest iteration takes away one map from the game rotation and rectifies numerous bugs. Furthermore, it introduces some valuable enhancements to the overall gaming experience that players will appreciate.

What’s new in the Rocket League v2.47 release?

A long-persisted problem with Beckwith Park (Snowy) is now in the developers’ eyes as they work on a fix. To ensure it does not hamper the player experience, the map is no longer in the rotation. The community has been complaining about the map’s visibility issues and constant depth perception problems.  There were also visibility issues with the Puck that caused problems specifically for Xbox players.

For Xbox gamers, there’s exciting news ahead! Psyonix has verified that they’re actively working towards reinstating a smooth 120 frames per second (FPS) experience for console users in the upcoming updates. Furthermore, following the v2.47 update, Xbox players can anticipate a more stable FPS performance overall.
