As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I must admit that the recent announcement about Rocket League Sideswipe has left me a bit perplexed. Having played this game since its release back in 2021, it’s hard to believe that it will be removed from Google Play and Apple App Store in the EU on August 23rd, 2024.

As of August 23rd, 2024, the game “Rocket League Sideswipe”, initially available on Google Play and Apple App Store in 2021, will no longer be accessible globally on these platforms, with a few exceptions for EU users. Android users worldwide will need to download “Rocket League Sideswipe” from the “Epic Games Store”. For iOS users residing in the EU, you’ll only have to download the game from the Epic Games Store if you wish to continue playing it after August 23rd, 2024.

If you’re an Android user like me, simply head over to the Epic Games Store and download Rocket League Sideswipe.

You might get a message regarding the app being harmful, that’s a generic message, however, you can skip it and download it.

For players using iOS outside of the EU, there’s no need for concern since Rocket League Sideswipe won’t be discontinued in regions other than the EU. You can continue to find and play the game through Apple Stores as usual.
