Rocket League Season 18 release date announced
Rocket League Season 18 brings new mutators, a new arena and much more.
For those eagerly awaiting, the Rocket League Championship is just around the corner, but for casual fans, the real excitement lies in when the next season starts in their game. Good news! Season 14 of Rocket League is arriving soon, and here’s everything you should know about this new chapter.
When does Rocket League Season 18 start?
Season 18 of Rocket League is set to kick off on March 14th, according to Psyonix. This upcoming season promises a fresh arena, custom banners, the “Breathe” player anthem, and unique gameplay elements known as mutators. For enthusiasts of Rocket League, it’s not just about the cosmetics that generate anticipation and enjoyment with Season 18. The introduction of these mutators will empower the community to create their own thrilling experiences within Rocket League.
Ping – Oops you missed!
Have you ever found yourself celebrating what seemed to be a goal, only for the ball to hit the frame instead? The deflation that ensues can be both discouraging and awkward. To prevent such instances, Rocket League has introduced a fresh Ping sound byte that resonates across the arena whenever the ball strikes the crossbar or goalposts. This should serve as a clue that your ‘magnificent’ goal might not have actually crossed the line.
Voice Reporting in Rocket League
In this latest update for Rocket League, Voice Reporting has been introduced – a feature similar to what’s found in Fortnite. This tool empowers you to take steps against players who engage in abusive voice communications within the game. Not only can you block, mute, and report others, but you also have the option to submit audio evidence when you suspect someone has violated the Rocket League community guidelines.
In order to increase the chances of successful review, it’s important to submit any audio evidence within five minutes of the occurrence. Remember, the game only sends the last 5 minutes of audio when you do this. Also, Epic Games can’t access voice chat audio unless a user actively turns on voice reporting and submits a report themselves.
How to report inappropriate conduct in Voice Chat in Rocket League?
1. Open the Sidebar and navigate to the voice chat tab
2. Press the “Report Conversation” button
3. After the report loads on the next screen, press the “Submit Report” button
4. Close the screen and return to your game
Apart from the fresh additions, Rocket League’s Season 18 will also offer Tournament Prizes. These Tournament Prizes are determined by your final position at the season’s end. Since Season 18 is not set to begin just yet when this article was written, Rocket League enthusiasts have some time to climb up the ranks and strive for superior tournament prizes.
