Okay, so the top eight teams made it to the Playoffs, which is awesome! A lot of the usual suspects are looking really strong and could totally solidify their place at the top. But for a few of these teams, this tournament is everything – it’s their last shot at qualifying for the Boston Major, and they’re gonna be fighting hard!
Now that the second qualifying event for the 2026 Rocket League Championship Series is here, teams need to prove what their updated rosters can do. The initial adjustment phase is finished, and the best teams have already had a chance to compete in person at Kickoff Weekend.
The EU Open 2 tournament began on January 9th with large double-elimination and Swiss-system rounds. The European qualifier for the Boston Major will conclude with exciting playoff matches on January 17th and 18th, featuring the region’s top teams.

The dream of Rocket League Boston Major 2026
Karmine Corp has secured a spot at the 2026 Rocket League World Championship in Boston. They earned qualification by winning both the Kickoff Weekend tournament and the first EU Open event.
Team Vitality recently lost player Evan “M0nkey M00n” Rogez. However, their team still appears competitive with the new addition of Gaspar “stizzy” Rosalen Andres, formerly of Dignitas.
Ninjas in Pyjamas completely rebuilt their Rocket League team in preparation for the 2026 RLCS season. They finished second in Europe after the first qualifying tournament for the Boston Major.
Man City Esports is showing strong performance with another successful tournament. Their investment in the ‘2 Danes 1 Bruv’ Rocket League team now seems like a smart move, and the team could be a good option for those interested in esports betting.
Magnifico and Geekay Esports both have a good shot at making it to the Major tournament in Boston. Every match they play is important, especially the final EU Open 3 event, which finishes on February 1st.
The current Rocket League season will conclude with the Boston Major 2026, taking place February 19-22. This marks the return of a major tournament to the United States! Last year, the Raleigh Major saw Team Falcons win their first major championship.
